This also suggests that this guy isn't the bumbling dolt that many folks read into that porch video. To do what he did, and to spend that much time in and around the home that night and other nights (evidently), and to not leave enough of his own DNA to even sample, suggests an expert skillset in depravity.

JMO.
Concerning! Presuming he is the one that actually went inside.

It seems to me that the family is bypassing the Sheriff's Department and encouraging searching now. The FBI has also posted the $1 million reward on their social media, but the Sheriff/Pima County has not (that I have seen). At first I was willing to give the sheriff some leeway but now it has become apparent that he's an impediment to the case. He inserts himself and tries to set the record any time someone leaks to the media or being adamant the family was not cleared one day and then totally cleared the next... all while the FBI stays quiet.

Thinking about SG’s video directing tips to only the FBI.

For jurisdiction purposes, if ransom notes have been determined to be legit and connected to NG - does ransom for kidnapping fall under the feds? Or still PCSD?

If that turns out to be the case, where do you think the connection is to Nancy? How would she have landed on his radar? I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just trying to figure out the common denominator. Is it possibly his mother?
good question and I don't have answer other than SG was pretty well known in Tucson and did a lot of media with her mother Nancy in Tucson. Address easy to find. Sometimes if people are high nothing makes sense.

Sexual assaults are about violence and age doesn't matter. Don't know if that's the case here. JMO
This is just awful to consider, although it's reality. 84, uses cane, heart condition, and assaulted. Just the worst.

Yes, it’s time for an all out search. Not at NG’s house. A bit beyond the neighborhood, hilly brushy areas, dirt roads.

Ok, disappointing, But I have heard of the way they can expand the sample, extrapolate.

I wonder if “ expanding” the sample, can be grounds for a defense motion to exclude?

Or, on the other hand, if the expanded sample leads to a known POI, it’s then considered a good, valid DNA lead?

Especially if the person of interest denied ever being in NG's bedroom.

JMO

This is all standard DNA stuff. A more likely possibility I think is that the DNA gives you a random probability match that isn't incredibly strong. In the Kohberger case it was something like 5 octillion to one, which is overwhelming. With a weaker sample it could be something like 1 in several thousand or something.

That's where corroborating evidence would be much more important.

I remember reading his vehicle was towed because of it being totaled. Do you have a link to show law enforcement has it?
That was the vehicle parked at his residence with considerable front end damage covered by a tarp.

Agree.

PCSD and FBI have searched NGs multiple times. PCSD released the house day 1ish? of this case. Since then, pizza guys, Amazon, etc have been around the house.

Doesn’t seem to be a good reason not to allow people to search if family okays it.

If you don't have an X account inserting "cancel" into the url on any post will allow you to see it.

So, Kash Patel said it was from the morning she was abducted. Would that then mean that the 1:47am would be the perp walking up with no backpack and then at 2:12am comes back with the backpack?

Tried to understand the sheriff's views because he is LE, but IMO the #1 priority should have been searches for NG. The desert area is ridiculous, but there should have been organized attempts, something to show the focus was NG.

So impressed with SG's video as I watched it a second time. For a national media personality to show that kind of vulnerability, that kind of raw grief and anxiety, that kind of conscientiousness, that kind of consideration, that kind of self-awareness, and that kind of humility, speaks volumes about the kind of mother that raised her.

Agree.

The total lack of organized searches in the first 48 hrs is odd unless they knew it was a recovery mission from the start. Even then….

Ok, that still seems like pretty strong evidence, if it can point to a known POI.

Good to know!
