I have a feeling the drilling noises that some media reported they heard prior to FBI arriving was likely due to the locksmith changing hardware. MOO

IMOO, I think the reporting that the DNA couldn't be uploaded into CODIS is a way to make the perp feel relaxed and like he is getting away with this and to NOT RUN, in order to let IGG have a crack at it. IGG needs time--I think it was a smart play by LE to buy time to let IGG do their thing.

I think (or at least I hope) they have a really good feeling about who did this now and that is why they are allowing the family into the home at the moment.

Crossing my fingers, something breaking will be announced soon. Praying for NG's family.
I so hope you are right! 🤞

I had the same feeling. At first I was wondering why they were essentially admitting to their failure/incompetence and then it hit me "oh, this is a trick".

We don't know how often anyone including NG went inside the guest house. She may have used it for storage.
Suspect could have been hiding out or even living out there without her knowing, if the curtains were drawn.
Could explain the loaded backpack, filled with belongings.
Acquaintance of suspect realizes who owns the house, gets suspect to help burglarize without knowing NG was inside.

Children perceive what their parents fear. Especially at 6 years old. I am sure LE was matter of fact and by the book. Uniforms on. Guns in holsters. Just thinking of my children and how they might have reacted or even myself. That was not a slight on LE.

I didn't read anywhere that the police were involved when the parents sent their kid to grannies house?

Sharks? This is the casita. Not her bedroom
I think it either looks like rolled up bedding or a bean bag chair perhaps? Wondering if it is a shark pattern as you say, so therefore childlike. Place for grandchild to hang out when visiting?? MOO

what appears to be well-dressed investigators are examining Nancy Guthrie's front walk way. Looking down and standing near the area where blood and masked suspect was

I’m picturing Criminal Minds type investigators!! Come on Rossi and Hotchner — get ‘em!! This is what I would have expected on day 2!!

I'm thinking LE and FBI stategically planned the timing of when SG announced the 1 million dollar reward for her mother's return. LE and FBI may need something stirred up right now to see if there's any movement by the suspects or those who may suspect or know something.

I've been fairly confident that LE and FBI have a lot more evidence and names for suspects behind-the-scenes. Hoping that I'm not being naive and overly optimistic

50 years of experience in her own neighborhood dismissed?

Of course not... Driving isn't just about the roads, there's all the variables that come into play... people, animals, other drivers...it's Pitch Black, she's 84 years old for goodness sake... oh and did I mention it's pitch black out there! Vision, peripheral, reflexes, everything slower. Many, many elderly (and not so elderly) choose not to drive at night time in areas that do have street lights and for good reasons. Talk about nit picking just for the sake of it!

Yes, wasn't that CG and AG and SG at the home today with the investigators?

My 92 yr old mother still drove in her neighborhood areas in spite of all in a mountainous area with all the above plus much population growth
Ageism and assumptions are sad

It was reported and here in the threads early on.
My memory is that there was a question of why the ransom specified USD instead of an assumption of that. But that is not the same as being sure of anything, much less being sure the writer was a non-native English speaker. I’d like a link if there’s info otherwise, as I am not finding it.

All I see is a rug. Nothing looks like a bed to me.
Fox speculates in their post that it is a bed. I see a rumpled up, patterned comforter on the right of the rug.

no it did look like them at first
but it was probably a homicide detective (in the hat), a D.A. (short brunette) and possibly two FBI

Do homicide detectives dress so casually at crime scenes? Genuine question.

I was talking about the child being at home when DE was questioned. MOO. Not going to argue with you.

Not CG IMO, it was some chief with the sheriffs department. Seen during one of Nanos press conferences
