Is it just me or is this odd wording? "County Attorney Conover trusts her veteran prosecutors to execute the work and lead on the ground, allowing them to focus on substance rather than inserting herself into the scene for optics.”

BBM. JMO.
I read that and thought it's not just the sheriff, this whole county has a communication problem

I think they have evidence that she went to bed but I don't know if her blood was found in her bed. PCSD believes she went to bed. Nanos wonders if she got up to go to the restroom or got up to go to the refrigerator.
That makes me think her blood was found somewhere besides in her bed.
AB's source said the blood from inside matched the pattern of blood outside. Passive drops falling from a height.
Yes sounds like he is thinking NG went to bed, got out of bed for some routine benign reason. And was attacked then?

Since when do authorities make announcements about handing crime scenes back over to the family? Is that normal? It's not to me?
Yes, but it is usually done directly to the family, not through the media

Why would they keep it this long? Is it because it was the last vehicle that she rode in (that we know of)?
You would think that they would have thoroughly processed it by now.
That is concerning if I am being honest.
Concerning for what?. Are you saying NG never made it home at all? Slaughtered in a car then carried home by someone? What is the thought process behind your concern?? Hopefully you are not clinging to the bogus AB tip that drove this case in the wrong direction for the first 2 weeks. JMO

I think you are correct. After so much time in agony, living in places that are not home, I think it'd be therapeutic for NG's children to be in the house their mother loved, where they grew up, surrounded by Nancy's things. I imagine they'll feel their mother's presence there, at least I hope so. May it bring them some measure of comfort.
I hadn't considered them going back there, more of trying to do something productive when they feel so helpless. I can't imagine going back in that house but maybe you're right and it would be therapeutic for them.

I highly doubt that what AB reported had any influence on the direction of investigators who were actively working this case.

If you don't reclaim it then they've taken all the beautiful memories and her spirit which I'm sure is very present. I imagine it will be difficult at first but I'd want to back.

Yeah I agree sounds defensive. People just wanted to know what the reason for the visit was. Is this a jab at the Sheriff??
I think it’s actually a jab at Sgt. Aaron Cross and Heather Lappin, who’ve both come out in the past few days with high-profile armchair attacks on Sheriff Nanos and his handling of the investigation. I think Conover is supportive of Nanos.

You think LE listen to Ashleigh Banfield to develop their theories?

Have a little grace with someone else’s theory. We’ve listened to yours quite a lot. IMHO.

Mechanics use bite lights.
Also another thought - what if someone from AG's neighborhood attempted to open AG's car door at some point and prints were found on the door handle that were later found to match prints at Nancy's home?
LE kept questioning AG's neighbor's and asking them about a phone as well.
BBM link for this? TYIA

I doubt it too. However this was the driving force for 2 weeks on the board as the family was flogged. My impression is the family was no longer to be discussed as suspects here or alluded to as such but i could be mistaken. jmo

Nancy Guthrie's home will be returned to family as search stretches into fourth week, sources say

Feb. 25, 2026, 8:35 PM

aw enforcement is preparing to turn Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home back over to her family, sources say, as the search for her is in its fourth week.

For weeks her home in the Tucson area has been the center of a flurry of law enforcement activity — including the recovery of DNA evidence. Activity seen Wednesday is related to efforts to turn the home back over the Guthrie family, two federal law enforcement sources told NBC News.

Officials acknowledged that law enforcement no longer sees the need to seal the premises as a crime scene or restrict the family from entering.

It was not immediately clear what the FBI or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department was doing inside the home Wednesday. It did not appear that they were engaged in activities outside the home that were seen on previous visits, which included testing or retracing their steps.

More than 23,000 calls have been made to the FBI tip line since Guthrie was taken, 750 of which came in the first 12 hours after Savannah Guthrie offered a $1 million reward Tuesday on Instagram, a senior official familiar with the investigation told NBC News.

I am reminded of evil Leticia Stauch and recall seeing the DA go through the house before she was charged.

I also recall the DA visiting the scene of the vile murders committed by Cosmo DiNardo before charges.

Am I mistaken in seeing the similarities? I could very well have mixed up the details…

There was quite a lot of time BEFORE family was cleared.

And how you get her words “concerning” to be a slight or blame to the family is beyond me.

What if she thought it was concerning because maybe there was a tracker on AG’s car that a perp could use to tell when NG arrived home??

YOU are the one that ASSUMED she was “concerned” because she thought family was involved. MOO.

Yeah I understand that, I was simply replying to what you wrote about AB reporting derailing the investigation for two weeks.

That would have had zero effect on investigators and how they do their jobs.
