New video Brian Entin-

I have to wonder if this weirdo (sorry, that's what he sounds like) is obsessed with SG and knows that the house was released to family (hmmm) and thinks he'll get a glimpse of her.

JMO/MOO but this is just too weird, considering it was my impression they had made NG's street a one-way.

Has anything been said about the people who worked for NG? Housekeeper, Landscaper, etc? I can see her trying to talk to anyone that she knew out of doing any thing wrong.

Do people think that since LE believe the perpetrator(s) are local, it makes the Savannah Guthrie stalker theory less plausible? I mean, what are the chances that someone with such disturbed and irrational thinking just happens to live in the same city as her mother? That seems pretty unlikely, right? Way too coincidental otherwise imo.
Only if it is someone really out there from her childhood that is seriously demented and finally snapped.

I was also thinking burglary gone wrong, but semi-planned and aimed at something specific like hidden valuables or a safe. it would explain needlessly waking her, and the unusually long time the perp(s) spent at her house (trying to get information out of her that she refused to give?). if a safe in particular, the odd fact that they took her might be explained by wanting more time to get a combination from her. would also explain bringing a weapon, which AIUI is unusual for burglars but in my theory they expected to confront her and needed to coerce her.

or -- yes -- not planned and they hurt or killed her because they were having trouble controlling her, and just happened to make the odd choice to take her when they left.

but apparently the sheriff said it is not a burglary gone wrong. so if we assume he had good reason for saying so, all that is off the table.
Sheriff hasn't come up with anything. A robbery gone wrong is as good as any idea.

Yea! That’s so odd too! 50 times of driving by would have scared me if I was out there. Those neighbors are going to hope BE never leaves until an arrrest is made.

Police did DNA swabs on some of her workers (pool guys, landscaper) but nothing more detailed was reported. I would imagine they looked into it.

Thing is people talk. Someone on the landscaping crew has a felon cousin, one of the roofers talks about "this house" at a bar, etc. etc. But yes those working on the property would have cased it and seen it's seclusion, lax security, and an old lady w/hearing aides living alone (who maybe pays them cash from one room in the house for instance).

I think what's going to happen because of the NG abduction is: "Mom (or Dad), we don't think it's safe for you to live alone at your age."

And, Mom and Dad, whoever is telling you this is correct.

Every time I think this case is dying down, something strange happens.

Scares me here, on my couch. jmo

My feeling is if random sexual predator or burglary (gone wrong) were the likely motives, then we wouldn't have seen federal warrants being issued and federal prosecutors at the home yesterday. Nor would the Sheriff have been eseentially relegated to mumbling to himself for the past 3 weeks.

Those are state matters.

JMO.
I agree. My guess is more facts are due to be released about the case as the lawyers make those decisions. I sincerely hope that NG is still alive and believe that what the public sees on the ground might break the case. My reasoning is if someone goes through the trouble of scouting NG house weeks prior (no backpack /holster photo evidence) and then taking her alive (the blood evidence supports this) there also was a place to take her. Likely, that location is not that far away. Also the fact that the ransom included multiple deadlines implies someone was taking care of her and she was not just left somewhere with supplies.

I hear you, re NG being targeted to go.
I do think she was targeted, and I originally thought, something simple, like NG had to be gone because she saw something she shouldn’t have. Local young people stealing or doing drugs, afraid they’d be turned in. Maybe NG didn’t even notice, or maybe she talked to them, knew them. Anyway, They got paranoid, decided NG needed to go. Just another idea.
JMO
There’s SO much risk, though, in taking someone out of their home. I just think it’s much more likely they’d break in and bonk her over the head. In and out. No messy dealing with a dead body (or a live person) that you just have to find a place to hide.

Him having a pic of NG on his phone as he drives by 50-100 times makes it sound like his obsession - if he has one - is more with NG than with SG. It may just be that he’s a Lookie-Loo eager to get a real close up look now that media aren’t camped across the street, OR looking to get familiar enough with the site to try to pursue a piece of the $1 million reward, and has NG’s pic on his phone because it accompanies an article about the crime that he is using to guide his exploration of the site from the wheel of his car.

1:47am was the time stamp on the doorbell video and when it was disabled/removed
The 2:12am was motion detected without video, but it wasn’t the doorbell camera, because that was busted off already. It was most likely one from the back.
2:28am pacemaker loses connection to phone
Was pacemakers security compromised prior?

I missed the part about driving by 50-100 times. Can you let me know where that came from? TIA!

I’ve thought before how it seems common for someone who commits a crime to visit the crime scene. I wondered if the person who took Nancy has revisited
