BBM Look, lol, I get lost backing out of the driveway so east and west are meaningless to me. HOWEVER, some of you live in the area and even more have a mental built in compass that I dont possess. How about this in regards to Psalm 23? TYIA MOO
Agua Caliente Park on the far east side of Tucson is the premier spot forpastures and ponds, featuring a 100-acre oasis with three spring-fed, restored ponds and historic ranch grounds. Other key spots forponds and wetlands include Sweetwater Wetlands for birdingReid Park for alake/fountain, and Silverbell Lake at Christopher Columbus Park.

Yes, that looks like a good area to check for NG! I wonder if there are cameras?

People did put up beautiful displays of flowers, and notes of love and prayers outside of Nancy's house.

Nanos pretty much asked people not to arrange their own search parties, I think that's why we haven't seen much of that
And also, there are a lot of different ways to support families at times like this and they are not necessarily public displays.

I admit to following the case closely but not this forum for the last couple of weeks. With media going away (except for BE )and family leaving and resources downsized not much news coming out. Not even a weekly presser. I sort of feel they have a suspect and just not enough evidence to charge yet. What I really want t o know is why is Nancy's car returned and Annie's still considered "evidence"?

I go back and forth on the idea they already have a suspect and are piecing everything together. It doesn't seem to be a coincidence that after the second SWAT raid that everything has pretty much gone dark and information flow has ceased. On the one hand that could imply they have their suspect(s), but on the other hand it could imply that that's all they had and now have little to nothing.

Continuing to be in possession of and processing the Range Rover, particularly in light of the past shenanigans of the individual driving it, suggests it could be the former.

I am not sure where to put this post. I think it doesn't matter how many masks the perp is wearing . I DO THINK MULTIPLE. That's as much for prevention of shedding DNA as it is for facial distortion and intimidation. So, what are we left with? Eyes and mouth. I DO THINK, there is something on the eyelids. Like a black eyeshadow but not makeup. But something. Eyebrows have been altered too. There are a couple of screenshots that look like he has almost a Hitler mustache. The eyes will eventually be the feature that gives him away, imo It's definitely a job for sophisticated facial recognition software. JMO
This perp might have known that the BK Idaho case was partially cracked by the living witness left alive whom he passed by. She described a main feature of his as 'bushy eyebrows'. Not a stretch to think this perp would alter his physical appearance as much as possible in that department.

That then takes me back to my original thought of a planned, targeted kidnapping of Nancy. A random local (especially one on drugs) would not have been able to orchestrate this level of planning. But then again...a broken clock is right twice a day. IDK.

Back to banging head on desk, while still hoping beyond hope for Nancy.

I am struck by the lack of unified community involvement in support for the Guthrie family. To my knowledge only one small church service way back when. SG was so very proud of Tucson her home town and yet where is the support? YT streamers have been the only organizers and those had no turnout from the community. I am really wondering if the average Tucson resident has. even heard of this kidnapping?
Wow. Are you in Tucson?

I was happy to see Brian Entin visited the banner at KVOA in his update last night, which has been visited and signed with beautiful messages of love, prayer, and support by many, many Tucsonans over the past three weeks. It's three minutes from my house and I've been going by a couple of times a week to refresh flowers and leave yellow ribbons for other people to add. The Today Show this morning also showed footage of a candlelight visual there last night. There is also the tribute site at Nancy's house with flowers, signs, prayer candles, etc. I know St. Phillips in the Foothills church continued to include prayers for Nancy in services after that initial community service there. Yes, there are some people in Tucson who aren't paying attention to this story, probably for good reason. But IMO many more are heartbroken for the family and standing behind them. IMO many will still be standing behind them after the national media moves on to other things.

Consider that the national media has been more focused on the case itself than covering the community support, unlike the local news. Shout out to Brian Entin for heading to the downtown area and the banner, which had little notice by out-of-town media when they were all camped up at the house every day.

I had thought about Aqua Caliante but decided it wasn't ideal because there are some houses closeby that you would pass or be near, the road doesn't go directly to the lake (a bike path goes to the lake) and, for hiking, you start off at a low elevation and hike up.

That's the right kind of place, though, if it was more convenient with the road going up into the hills (vs hiking up the hills) or if the road went to the lake.

I agree, I think that second raid holds the answers to solving this. I can’t shake the feeling that LD is porch guy. The mouth area looks IDENTICAL and I think LE just needs more solid proof to make an arrest. All just my opinion though.

Are you talking about searching for Nancy or some other kind of support?
I am talking about organized searchers (not LE) and some kind of vigils or community gathering which would include friends of family, sometimes family and just regular community members. I recall in other situations where someone goes missing these gatherings were often televised and impressive turnouts. If this is happening in Tucson then it is well hidden.

Right. And flowers may just be flowers, but sales of yellow flowers spiked in Tucson and KVOA put up the banner because people were asking what they could do to help ... besides praying, sharing the doorbell videos, being vigilant, and being discouraged by the sheriff from searching.

I think the facts surrounding his 2025 arrest are interesting. He had a gun and tactical gear. That's pretty odd. People with addictions don't make the best choices.

Southern Arizona is very dry, rugged territory. Lakes/ponds are few and far between. The closest lake of any size is 2 and a half hours north and in the middle of a reservation, not a likely place for this purpose. I agree that one would certainly want to get rid of the evidence that could get you at least locked up for life as quickly and closely as possible. The vastness and baroness of the local terrain is something most people can't comprehend until they see it first hand.
There are city lakes, which are small man made lakes. There’s also Rose Canyon Lake which is about 45 minutes away give or take.

We had a family event this weekend and was over by Nancy’s. I noted some cameras on the way particularly on Campbell and Skyline as well as on Oracle going north. (Lots going on in the car so I didn’t catch all of them.) I don’t think going west is something they would have done because of cameras and busier streets. If they went east, I there would be less detection by cameras. East could also put them going up Mount Lemmon to where Rose Canyon Lake located. I don’t remember if they have cameras on the way up there.

The terrain is rough in areas and IMO, it would be difficult to carry a body too far from the road. Not only would you have the terrain to deal with, you have wildlife too.

Well, we know he's familiar with Walmart.

And the the over-convoluted approach I have pointed many times on latanas man's get-up and approach out jives with a dumb druggie trying to be slick (using the latanas, mismatched holster in awkward open carry, use of PPE and then uses a saliva transferring bite light, thick gloves render use of firearm cumbersome, no plan to easily cover camera).

Wonder if we'll get an update on the RR.

I go back and forth between LD and DC. IMO DC's eyes and how he hid his right hand give me pause. Besides the mouth, what pushes you toward LD? I do hope they are watching these people closely.

I believe it's the full post that @No it's not shared above, which they mentioned was approved by Tricia. No link since it's direct from the book that SG wrote, but there are page #s referenced.

They'd certainly notice the buzzards or vultures or whatever the scavenger creatures were out there circling in the days that followed, anyway. So long as they were close enough.

I've thought of that, too. But I noticed on one of BE's videos that the area is full of drainage tunnels. That could be another possibility.

Huge awareness for many, many people in Tucson. Many people and churches are praying for NG and her family. The sound of helicopters overhead just sobered and saddened people with the reality of what was going on. Volunteers have organized searches but not on a large scale because the Sheriff prefers that volunteers don't search. Like Old Pueblo said, many people are driving by her house to leave flowers, cards and to pray for her as they drive in or near her neighborhood. This is a horrific crime and many people in Tucson are really affected by this tragedy.

Driving around neighborhoods within a few miles of Nancy’s (and AG’s) you’ll see a lot of yellow ribbons on mailboxes, and I’ve noticed some streets which have an older population living on them have yellow ribbons on every single mailbox. People in Tucson do care.

This is from my own experience but I did find this People article with photos showing the yellow ribbons: https://people.com/nancy-guthrie-ne...oxes-with-yellow-ribbons-amid-search-11907926
