Oh wow, I had not heard that. I have followed the JBR case since it happened. And I have done a fair amount of amateur analysis on various aspects of the case. I keep being reminded of JBR lately.

Is this the point where we all turn to acknowledge the really nasty elephant in the room, the biggest 'career ending/dampening mis-conduct' story of the 21st century?

We know SG has not been working due to surgery in December, but we've also seen an explosion of that nasty story in the last three months, and we're in the very earliest stages of reprecussion, with resignations starting to flutter down like the first leaves of fall. Any interviews or investigative reporting SG did on that story is already out there, maybe scheduled to be re-aired, maybe not. Maybe the point wasn't to silence *her*, as much as send a warning to other journalists who might be considering joining the elephant hunt?

Dropping in to just post something related to this angle. I admit what I’m posting, well it’s a bit of a stretch but, you never know.

dropping into say I’m not sure of the perps weight other than average build. Imo, LD doesn’t appear to have that much extra weight compared to the perp.. given the slight fish eye kinda angle of the video..( it’s hard to tell) but I do notice a few things that stand out to me. All available pictures of LD ONLINE prior to NG disappearance he has a beard and a mustache, sometimes stubble, slightly grown in, sometimes a little more. He’s cleanly shaven in this interview. Maybe trying to appear more clean cut. Maybe not and wanted to alter his appearance a bit.

His haircut in the interview, imo is also fresh and recent, which I understand, he’s trying to appear a bit more “professional” for lack of a better word. It would be harder to tell if he had lighter hair. Dark hair makes it very obvious.

His use of the term “hive mind” is a tad aggravating to me. He’s implying people pointed fingers at him and alerted LE because of how he lived his life in the past and his vicinity to NG,… and maybe they did, …but You don’t get a federal warrant issued on the home you live in and vehicle seized because of past drug arrest at Walmart.

Not once does he ever offer any type of empathy to the family. Just, “if I knew I would say so” …”it’s not me, I don’t see the resemblance”…I want Nancy to come home too but I don’t have anything to do with it” …kind of deal.

Not once does he say, he understands the public’s focus on him because of his past. He doesn’t own up or imply any understanding of the past transgressions that some people are questioning. Just “hive mind”

Also ask yourself what 40+’year old man has his mom at a interview with them…unless there’s some type of disability or neurodivergence or something going on, it’s not normal for her to be present in this particular interview. I know it’s her home that SWAT busted into but still, a 40 yr old man with his mom at an interview “clearing his name” is a huge red flag to me.

Does that make him the perp, idk. But after hearing him talk I don’t personally like his demeanor, ..whatever, that’s on me. Moo

So glad her husband was with her, not only to support her but to show the public he isn't hiding out somewhere. All the people complaining about not seeing him support them and also them not visiting the memorial site, like how do people know they haven't visited it? They may have gone many times before and after media had come and gone for the day. I hope people don't give SG their opinions on her leaving to go home when she does. I don't think any of them can make everyone happy. If she goes back too soon "how could she, how heartless" and if she stays gone longer they would have something to say about that as well. Yeah. Sad, but seems they may have just detained LD based on tip + him being most prolific criminal in her neighborhood, versus concrete evidence tying him to the crime. And C just based on tip + phone pings. I don't blame LE, they're trying to find Nancy and get this crime solved, but I don't think either of them is the guy now. Of course, I may be wrong.

I hate that whoever it is is still going free and I really do hope his name is lost in the tips somewhere, waiting to be found.

I remember calling in a tip in the Bryce Laspisa case. Reached a deputy, spoke with him, gave my info and the case I was referring to and was thanked personally. It led to nothing obviously as he has not been found but I found out from the deputy their unidentified was older that BL.

In large cases such as NG and even in the general public I would be willing to bet that many citizens would be interested in becoming tip vetting volunteers. The online crime community is huge. Offer some training and get your community involved in validating and placing a hierarchy on tips that are submitted. IDK??

On the other hand, when I lived in New Jersey in the 1980s there was a big case in the news where a couple of young women had been killed in close proximity on different nights. Police and state troopers were pulling cars over for random spot checks, and most assumed it was related to the case in the news.

I had to rewatch LD’s interview again. He contradicted himself a little in regards to his past. Did anyone else notice that?

The one instance he says over two years and the next one he says 1 1/2 years ago with the alleged gf, the girl he got arrested with a little over a year ago. We can’t mention her here, I believe. He does talk about her though.

The LD interview makes no sense. The news about this case is quieting down, everyone is distracted with the war, LE has gone quiet, and the public scrutiny of LD is fading.

IMO, MOO, LD's interview was either really bad advice, or an attempt to get out ahead of things. Why put him back in the spotlight?

Your average good attorney wouldn't want their client -- whose house a SWAT team searched -- being interviewed about this experience. He's technically still a suspect. Unbelievable.

I disagree on the FBI's motive, but totally understand how that could be the prevailing notion at this point. I sway back and forth on motive and 'local yokel vs. organized and from wherever', but this has many of the components of being a big crime that likely warrants that many agents. Not a big crime because of who the victim's daughter is, but big because of who or even perhaps what the perpetrator(s) might be.

Apparently, the Rio Rico guy(s), had a general resemblance to the video , but one was also a delivery driver who had made deliveries at least in the area, and maybe closer. There may of been other supporting information that was not made public ( its a high burden of proof to search a home).

A crime he has on file was committed 20 years ago. I would imagine he paid his debt to society. Might be expecting a lot from him to express his condolences when he was thrust onto the public stage and after living a nondescript life, he becomes front and center in a frenzied hunt for the kidnapper of an 84 year old kidnapped mother of a tv celebrity. Instead of leaving this guy alone, someone wanted an exclusive interview to attract viewership. He complied because he's trying to clear his name. That's his right. Profiled as latino men of average build living in a home with strong maternal figures, and who perhaps have a recent criminal record and drive silver compact SUVs? That's about all I can deduce. (LD is listed as Latino in court/police records. He is adopted from what I've read).
