But the one attributed to prior visit, he was wearing the getup minus the back pack. Wasnt that what they said? jmo
Yes you are right. He wears the Walmart crime scene costume both times.

This perpetrator(s) may well have committed an act of violence previously with another victim. MOO
Yes. The nonchalant attitude of Lantana Man makes me think he had committed previous crimes.

Pitch black. if for some reason he did not go up to the door, or he did not have a flashlight, he may not have seen it.
Full moon that night. A full moon in a dark neighborhood in Tucson provides an enormous amount of light. JMO

@BrianEntin

The Pima County Sheriff did an interview with NBC and says “I think the investigators are definitely closer” to finding Nancy Guthrie suspect.Says new video of car 2.5 miles away has not been identified and they are looking at “hundreds of thousands of other vehicles.”Says backpack may not have been purchased at Walmart. Could have been purchased secondhand.“We have information on this case that we think is going to lead us to solving this case, but it takes time.”

Latest happening today in the search for Nancy Guthrie -- there were just some developments at the house -- a group went inside and private searchers outside are using a metal detector.

Apologies if this was mentioned, but I'm skimming to catch up

I'm wondering if the folks searching with the metal detectors had listened to AB's show from last night Searching For Body with Specific Coordinates in the Desert with the interview with Dr Tracy Sargent who discussed metal detectors.

My impression was he was talking about more than just that one camera. My impression is also that he was exaggerating. We know LE said they have 5,000 - 10,000 hours of video to look at but we don't know what exactly that consists of.
Yes. My assessment of the sheriff is that he used hyperbole a lot. I think he also talks in “casual mode” quite a bit, wherein he might say that a person is”cleared”, when formally they really aren’t cleared. They just aren’t looking at them right now. It’s confusing and, I agree, in this case it would be helpful to have someone speaking to the press who is clear and precise.

Just watched BE's latest video. Why, if 12 cars were seen on the video during that time period, is the sheriff looking at thousands of cars??
Timelines are being established, checked verified, and narrowed .. They’re aren’t looking for the regular everyday/everynight usual normal traffic. They’re looking for the anomaly.

None of us know who is guilty. I think it's naive to make any judgements about LD based on his interview. JMO he cannot be trusted. We'll see what happens. I don't believe he's PG.

What's PG stand for?

Ok, just looking at the backpack on the Walmart website. Earliest customer review seems to be Feb 2023.

However, a review on Dec 25 2025 indicates that this used to be called Outdoor Products Traverse 25L Backpack.

Looks like the same to my brief glance except the logo is different.

Earliest review of the previous version is Sep 2016.
I have been finding the same thing looking for the jacket. Many many “almosts” but not he exact one. I hope he reads this and understands we are LOOKING for YOU.

That makes sense to me. When they were at NG’s, it didn’t seem like they were just “reviewing the scene” to me. They were walking with too much purpose. It felt like they were walking through LE’s theory of that night.

Also, and this may be a nothing burger, their shoes suck out to me. If they were reviewing the scene, I’d imagine they wouldn’t be sure exactly how long they’d be there, maybe expect to wander a bit, etc. and plan accordingly (like maybe flats or a smaller heel, the finish on the guy’s shoes seemed very susceptible to scratches). When they were walking up the hill, one of the women tripped on a branch. That’s what made me think about it.

MOO
And they were all there to listen to and talk with the guy with the baseball cap who seem to be the one who led them from place to place. MOO

What 1:47 a.m. "camera time"?

"Sunday morning, early morning at 1:47 a.m. the doorbell camera disconnects." - Sheriff Nanos 02/05/26

"At 2:12 a.m. software detects a person on camera." - Sheriff Nanos 02/05/26
(Nanos said it's possible that it could be an animal but he wasn't sure because they didn't have the video. This was five days before the FBI recovered the door nest cam video.)

"2:28 a.m. Nancy's pacemaker app shows that it was a disconnect from the phone." - Sheriff Nanos 02/05/26

Nanos didn't say that Nancy's pacemaker shows that it was a disconnect from the phone he said her "pacemaker app" shows a disconnect.
Sorry if this is dumb question.

We’ve spoke about WiFi jammers, but if your cable provider also was your internet provider with router inside but box outside, if cable was cut outside wouldn’t that disconnect WiFi?

I read 'cleared' and 'exonerated' have vastly different meanings when describing poi. No one has been 'exonerated' yet. JMO

I am surprised the Walmart angle didn't lead anywhere. They're always patenting new surveillance technologies, and seemingly have crystal clear footage and records of customers from the parking lot to the store. Guess Lantana guy could've made his mom or a girlfriend or someone else buy the items for them, and that'd be harder to pin down. But it's surely still worth looking into, can't be that hard to pull receipts with those items on them.

Really think LE should do some Walmart reconnaissance here if they haven't already. Nanos made it seem like they haven't done much but I have no idea when he's obfuscating or telling the truth.
I'm not. That crystal clear footage is there to keep current customers and employees from stealing, not to track purchases. (that's what your credit/debit card is for. :/ ) There are 17 Walmarts in and around Tucson, and 120+ Walmarts in Arizona. They don't all sell backpacks, but then, we don't know how long they've been carrying that particular style; this year, last year, two years ago at Christmas? Were they on clearence? I would not be surprised if everything the perp(s) wore that night came from Walmart, bought weeks, if not months before. The only place that might be more ubiquitous would be Dollar General, which specializes in generic, inexpensive fashion.

It would in that circumstance but LTE could still be active on certain devices

Not a dumb question. Yes, that would disconnect the WiFi, at least it would with my WiFi. There may be some set-ups where it wouldn't work this way but it would disconnect my WiFi. JMOO
