I have a relative who lives in Tucson. She said the local news said they found DNA and hopefully it’s enough to analyze. They have asked neighbors to check their outside cameras.
The sheriff said that on her own she wouldn't have been able to get out of the house.Agreed. If her mentation and executive functionion are normal and she can navigate with an assistive device safely in her home there's no reason to live elsewhere if she doesn't want to. Elderly people live alone all the time. They often decline faster if moved to assisted living so why do that if they prefer and can safely remain their own home. She has in home help, and surely at a level that suited her needs, I cannot imagine SG not providing her that without question, up to 24/7 care. If her home wasn't one level, she surely used it as a one level and probably had chairs she could rest in strategically placed every 30-40 feet if she needed to sit. This is not a big deal for an 84 yo to remain at home without cognitive decline. She is a competent adult. It's her choice. Surely someone has talked about mitigating fall risks and trip hazards as well.

I didn't think he avoided that question. He answered "No" starting at 14:05.The sheriff wouldn't touch the question asked by a reporter if anyone connected with Nancy was also missing.
It did speak volumes..imo
Based on what I’ve seen it sounds like her purse was found in her home. That's a great question.
One scenario is: let's go to the ATM machine
Someone or more def took her physically out of the house, as I believe they said she really can't walk more than 50 feet on her own. Plus the evidence inside or around that make him say that she was harmed and abducted out of her bed. It's just so awful for a vulnerable person such as she or anyone in a surprise attack like this appears to be. IMOThe sheriff said that on her own she wouldn't have been able to get out of the house.
Which is very different then possibly being prone to falls.
imo
I appreciate you taking the time to correct this.I didn't think he avoided that question. He answered "No" starting at 14:05.
Yes, how did she usually get to Church? If there is no way she left on her own then who the hell took her to Church that didn't show up to take her?
She had a car. Maybe she was able to drive, if the walk to her car was very short.Yes, how did she usually get to Church?
Right, but LE is not going to say there was a ransom call, even if there was. So we can't know how accurate that is, imo.Although Brian Entin just posted there was no ransom demand in this case per LE.
iirc, her sonHow do we know she was dropped off at home Saturday night? Have they released who dropped her off?
"no, no, no. all of the family has been very cooperative with us, working with us" etc.I didn't think he avoided that question. He answered "No" starting at 14:05.
I posted this earlier. How do we know she was dropped off at home Saturday night? Have they released who dropped her off?
I think some reporters made a big deal about him only specifically mentioning family in his answer and not saying anything about acquaintances, but listening to him I think that was more about how he perceived the question, rather than trying to dodge the acquaintances issues. Could be wrong, but that's my view. And the question was -- are any of them missing? His answer was No."no, no, no. all of the family has been very cooperative with us, working with us" etc.
The sheriff answered no to the family, not any associates of Nancy.
imo
Can’t think of why not… those guys always cover the olympics and haven’t had this kind of issue previously. Possibly, but I’m thinking someone closer to her mother’s personal daily life. JmoDid someone want SG not to go to Italy?
I don't know what the net gain would be... but targeting her mother would almost certainly ground SG...
It would answer the question 'why her?'.

I don't live in AZ, but I work with Medicaid in my state. Based on what I've read, she would have qualified in my state for home health services. Part of the home health aide's job is to help the person access the community. That could include driving them to church if they are someone who normally goes to church. If the aide received a text from her saying, "I'm not feeling well, don't come pick me up," they wouldn't necessarily think anything was amiss. Of course, that relies on someone knowing her routine well enough to know to cancel the aide. Or points to the aide themself. If there is no way she left on her own then who the hell took her to Church that didn't show up to take her?
