I am trying to catch up, but based on everything the sheriff has said, this means new info. ((of course I will be in a meeting at that time - take good notes y'all!))

I still clean for original customers. One is 91 now. Been there since 1982. Most customers I've had at least 30+ years. You are lucky.

I want to add that we in Jamaica are very blessed, most of us have had long standing housekeepers for years and years who become our family members. My example before was about a recently hired Gardener, who we did not get references for, as he was already working with other homes in our gated Community…but turns out, he was very aggressive with his “asks” and I felt that the phrase “no good deed goes unpunished” came in, as we helped him a lot after hurricane Melissa, but he wanted more and more.

This makes me wonder if the perpetrator isn’t very tech-savvy. Did he/she really think that the doorbell camera stores all of the data IN THE DOORBELL CAMERA? I would think that most people would at least have an idea that data is stored elsewhere (i.e. “in the Cloud”) and can be accessed remotely.

I know there are many different types of cameras and that each type probably has different “plan levels”, but to take the physical doorbell camera seems to point to someone who is unaware of current technology. It also makes me feel like this wasn’t well-planned, so could it be personal, impulsive and/or drug-fueled, etc?

My opinion on this would change if evidence shows that the doorbell camera was removed BEFORE the person entered the home. It would be very interesting to see what the last images were that were captured by the camera. Did it show someone trying to conceal their appearance and/or obstruct the camera’s view as they removed it? If so, then this would lead me to believe that this person quite likely entered the home with the intent to harm Nancy and remove her from her home BEFORE they ever entered the home.

Hopefully they have a thread to pull on. In the middle of the night in Tucson, the best hope is they drove through an intersection on the north or south main roads that ring that development (both have traffic cams). Think how important it was in Moscow to get video of the white Sonata in the right place at the right time....

Some doorbell cameras have an option (like mine) to not use cloud...you actually have a SD Card. Blink and Wyze have them available.

Explains the traffic...I work by there and there's a gem and mineral show right next to where I work, plus construction, plus news vans and the press lined up outside of PCSD HQ. I gave up trying to go to lunch.

Do we know if that blood found inside the home is the same as the droplets described as being between the door and the driveway? (if I am recalling correctly from earlier in the thread)

Is there any clarification of where Nancy went missing from?
Her home has been reported to be near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue in Catalina Foothills, but those two locations don't appear to be anywhere near one another.

Couple of thoughts from the recent news:
Why would LE say that if you see someone that looks like her to take a photo? Why not call 911?
Why would they say the public is not in any danger when they don't really have much info on who did this or why?

Could have been in shock and didn’t see some of the concerning things LE did. I wonder if they contacted hospitals to see if she was brought there? Sometimes it’s hard to think clearly when you’re in a stressful and alarming situation alone, so many emotions etc. and not knowing what to do or not do. Might have been in disbelief and devastated she wasn’t there.

Our previous experiences play a huge role in how we perceive things. There’s the old saying (often used as an example to new medical people when looking for a diagnosis) - “When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras.”

So when we see, hear, etc something our mind will use our previous experiences and knowledge to try to help us understand what we are seeing, etc. If you don’t have experiences with crime and you are entering an elderly family member’s home in a pretty safe area that you have been to many times over the years, probably the last thought is that you are walking into a crime scene. You are more likely to think that they fell, had a medical emergency, went to a neighbor’s, had plans you didn’t know about, etc. You are more likely to be looking for HER and, unless the blood or other evidence was really obvious, you could easily overlook it because you are more focused on looking for a life-sized person, not droplets of blood.
