Security is increased at the schools local to me. I’ve seen social media posts from friends that kids were told to stay home with school work to be done remote today.

Mount Lebanon, North Hills, Norwin, Seneca Valley, Charleroi Area, Plum Borough, Greater Latrobe and Canon-McMillan school districts, plus schools in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, sent messages to parents on Thursday. I hope the FBI (or other appropriate agency) investigates the instigators of this crap, arrests and prosecuted them and makes them an example. This is terrorism. Our kids have already missed enough from covid.
My kid is at school today with 60% of the kids absent (due to unsubstantiated threats) for the second time since the Oxford tragedy.
On the bright side, there are more police and far fewer kids so she feels safer than ever.

I cannot even imagine what kind of anxiety these kids are experiencing. Fear of a school shooter and/or catching COVID. PTSD.
