Wow

She deserves to never be hired again for that statement.

Accepting no responsibility for fraud.

And worse, involving her daughters in fraud, knowingly. In Huffman's case, she did not directly make her daughter part of the fraud.

It really is contributing to the delinquency of a minor, to involve them in conspiracy to commit fraud. They got off so easy!

Oh so true.

The best thing is we have that creepy glaring photo of a very malevolent looking Lori to remember her by.

Every time she tries to act like Abigail Stanton, someone will post that photo to remind us what Lori is really like

And, in Huffman's case if I recall correctly she was the first to own up & plead guilty.

How many months ago was that???

Wonder how much MG & LL paid their lawyers in all those months, how much their cross-country plane trips cost, how much the court proceedings cost the taxpayers.

Enough to send a few hard-working students to state universities IMHO.

JMHO YMMV LRR

They probably spent more in attorney fees than the fine they received. I would love to supervise LL for her "community service". Here, is a garbage bag, and a pair of work gloves, we are picking up trash....yeah.

She will probably do "community service" like Jussie Smollett, who "magically" got credit for community service based on whatever he did prior to his deal.

There's a mistake in that article no?.

"Gorton agreed to the sentence the prosecutors recommended for Loughlin: five months in prison, a $250,000 fine, 250 hours of community service and two years of supervised release."
She got 2 months, right? that was for her creep husband. (wish it was for her too)

And she is saying "....will do “everything in my power to redeem myself” and to “give back for the rest of my life.”
She has no intention of "giving back for the rest of her life" imo

These two were banking on home confinement due to Covid.....didn't work.

Lori Loughlin tearfully admits she made 'awful decision' as she’s sentenced to 2 months in prison, husband gets 5 months in prison

Not aware. Lori is blaming her husband, all she did is follow his lead, my opinion from this quote in above linked article -

Lori:

" I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college-admissions process, and in doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass."

yuck

Nothing like a united front. Throw that husband under the bus!

Perhaps it was planned. Both hoping it might resurrect her career:rolleyes:

Yeah. That ship has already sailed. And sank, like the Titanic. I don't know if they can come back from this. The fact that they moved to a "shed" in the middle of nowhere, shows that they slunk out of Bel-Air like whipped dogs to me.

My opinion, is that they should have admitted their guilt right away, and gotten it over with. It wouldn't have been the media drama it became. If they had, a fine, 2 week prison term, move on.

Loughlin’s plea is not your regular plea agreement. It is referred to as a C-plea, a reference to Fed. R. Crim. P. 11(c)(1)(C), which takes the guess-work out of the prison sentence by tying the judges hands. Loughlin’s C-plea states a prison sentence of 2 months in prison and Judge Gorton could either accept the plea or reject it ... if he accepted the plea, the sentence will be 2 months ... no more, no less. He accepted it.

My question:

Sentence too light or just enough because of ruined career?

Lori Loughlin’s sentence is a ‘great outcome’ for her, legal expert says: ‘She should thank her lucky stars’

The 'Full House' star initially faced 40 years in prison before accepting a plea deal

Lori Loughlin should "thank her lucky stars" after receiving a two-month sentence, a slap-on-the-wrist fine and community service for her role in the college admissions scandal

“Had Loughlin gone to trial and lost she could have faced years in prison and if there was a guilty verdict after a jury trial it is not likely the court would’ve been so generous with the sentencing,” explained the lawyer.

Lori Loughlin, Mossimo Giannulli Ordered to Report to Prison by November

Mossimo was ordered to start his sentence by Thursday, November 19, 2020, before 2 p.m., which gives him 90 days to report. He also has 60 days to pay the $250,000 fine. After his lawyer requested Mossimo serve his time at Lompoc Camp in California, the judge agreed to make that recommendation to the Bureau of Prisons.

Loughlin also has 90 days to report to prison. Her attorney asked the judge to recommend Victorville Prison in Southern California.

Lor ... errr, "sources" say:

"They are terrified about going to jail," the insider reveals, noting that the couple's fear stems from the ongoing spread of COVID-19 within prison systems.

A second source noted, "Nothing has been decided about where they are serving. That's up to the government to determine."

They have requested to serve their sentences at different times. Citing concerns over Bella, 21, and Olivia Jade, 20, the first source says, "They don't want to have any overlap and leave the girls on their own." (side note: Bella turns 22 on September 16 and Olivia turns 21 on September 28).

"They are trying to work out a way that one of them can be in L.A. with the girls while the other is serving their sentence," the insider explains, adding that Bella and Olivia are "worried" about their parents and "hate to see them so upset."

"Everyone is on edge and just trying to hold it together and stay strong," the source shares.

A separate source recently said that both Olivia and Bella have been "behind them every step of the way."

"The family is staying strong and positive and looking forward to putting this behind them," the source shared.

I realize the two girls aren't very bright but didn't know they were completely useless.

How many disgraced internet "influencers" does it take to change a lightbulb/make a piece of toast / change the sheets / run some laundry -- or at least ask the maid(s) to do it?

I guess we're gonna find out.

It is interesting to me that the daughters are concerned. To date, I have not been a person who wanted the children of all of the accused to be held accountable. But, the daughters (now grown young women) could have refused to pose for fake photos and spared their parents jail time. Just unbelievable. They should all be quiet and grateful that they are not going to prison for the amount of time that other felons convicted of this type of crime would have received.

"E! got an update on how the family is doing now that it really is happening: the Full House actress and her designer husband truly are prison-bound. A source told E! that Lori and Mossimo "are terrified about going to jail" because of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 within the prison systems. Where and when Lori and Mossimo are serving hasn't been decided yet, E! reports.

Their daughters Olivia, 20, and Bella, 21, are legitimately concerned for their parents. The girls are "worried," E!'s source said. Bella and Olivia "hate to see them so upset." How Lori Loughlin's Daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Feel About Her Jail Sentence
