This is a North Carolina Amber Alert for a Child Abduction....The Scotland County Sheriffs Office is searching for Allyson Nicole Oxendine. Allyson Nicole Oxendine is a 3 year-old Indian, female approximately 3 feet tall, weighing 32 pounds.

She has brown hair, and brown eyes, Allyson Nicole Oxendine was last seen wearing pink sweat pants, maroon shirt, and Croc slip on shoes.

She is in possession of two white dogs.

There is no abductor information. She was last seen in the area of 10041 Hunt Rd. Laurel Hill, NC. If you have any information regarding this abduction, call Scotland County Sheriffs Office immediately at 910-276-3385 or call 911 or star HP.

Allyson's father told police she was in their yard with him just before 5 p.m. when she wandered away. Rescue teams are currently searching for her in Scotland County, but officials said she could be anywhere.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call the Scotland County Sheriff's Office at 910-276-3385 or 911.

Oh please be found soon. I'm speculating the confusion with the Amber Alert is because LE doesn't know if she's lost in the woods or was abducted, but they have to call it an abduction to issue the alert. They are right to cover all bases and avoid tunnel vision. Parents should be considered victims at this point. Hopefully she's found soon cuddling her dogs. MOO.

NC waste no time with their AAS, I've seen AA for small children within hours. Most recently in Greensboro, I received the AA within 2 hours of the missing child.

Here in NC, our statewide Amber Alerts don’t have to mean there’s been an abduction. It could just simply be an endangered missing child. The screen shot attached is from the NCDPS website but I’ll have to add the link in the morning (it’s still up on my laptop & I can’t find it using my phone).

I agree. I wouldn't think of her hair color as brown after seeing several pictures. My daughters have the same color and we always described it as a "dirty blonde". Go figure.
