The warrant is for a search of a property located on Curley’s Fish Camp Road near Highway 70.

That's about 25 miles west on I-40 from where his car was found. US70 and I-40 run parallel through this part of NC.

ETA His car was found in Iredell Co. He lives in Catawba Co. and the residence searched is in Burke Co. Maybe that explains why both Catawba and Burke Co. LE were there.

An arrest warrant has been issued in the case.

Burke County and Catawba County investigators, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, served a search warrant at an address on Curley’s Fish Camp Road in Hildebran.

During the search, evidence was obtained leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Mark Anthony Ortiz of Hickory. He was charged with felonious disposal of a body and felonious obstruction of justice.

Police said they questioned the person who lives in the home and he told them that he had buried a body in the backyard.
