Police have circumstancial evidence linking Pittman to 5 of the murdered women but need more solid evidence before they can press chargews.

It's a pretty classic case...he eventually got sloppy about hiding evidence or even himself. It reminds me 100% of Anthony Sowell in Cleveland. Chillingly so.

this case sure hasn't got much national attention, that i can tell...not like the one in Cleveland.
We have a similar case in ABQ, 13 bodies found in one grave about a year and half ago...and all were prostitutes and/or drug users and even with that many missing women, there was never any mention of it in the news until the mass grave was found. All the police say now is that they feel that the suspect is dead. Why?? and who??

I agree. This is just unreal! I live in Wake County, NC, so I'm not too far from these murders.

I'm new to this thread, so I intend to catch up by reading the previous posts. I just don't understand why this was kept so secret for so long. It is truly a horrific situation.
