But does it mean the car was rented? The fact that they said that it was occupied twice sounds odd to meIt had a passenger
According to the video, the book and concert shirt were found in her bag? Interesting.
Rented? I’m not getting what your asking. They said occupied twice meaning there was a passenger. But does it mean the car was rented? The fact that they said that it was occupied twice sounds odd to me

New items of interest in Asha Degree case
''Investigators ask that anyone who had the book or shirt or knows anyone who had those items around the time of Asha’s disappearance to call them.
Cleveland County Sheriff Alan Norman says he could not go into detail as to why the items are significant, but he said they are a vital part of the investigation.''
''More than a year after her disappearance, the child’s book bag was found buried beside the same road but farther north in Burke County.''
Absolutely, anything is possible was just giving the reasons i don't personally believe she was being abused by anyone in her immediate family. My theory is she was groomed by a coach, teacher, neighbour, family friend, extended family member or someone at her church. This person enticed her with money (the few dollars she had) and promises of a better life (monetary wise), he got her to trust him with the picture of the little girl he claimed was his daughter and convinced her to leave in the middle of the night so they could get a head start then sadly he harmed her.
This guy was lying and wasting police time in order to benefit himself. If his story is true it still doesn’t explain why Asha left her home at that time and during a stormWhere is Asha Degree? • Morbidology
"One of the many leads in the case came when Barron Ramsey, a Mecklenburg County Jail inmate who went to school with Asha’s mother, made a detailed confession. He claimed that he and another Cleveland County man were heading back to Shelby on rural N.C. 18 in the early morning hours of Asha’s disappearance. He said that the other man, who was driving, accidentally ran Asha over. He said the girl was still alive when the driver put her in the back of the pickup. Ramsey said the driver dropped him home and left with the girl. A couple of days later, Ramsey said he and the driver went to Moss Lake near Kings Mountain where they dumped the now-deceased girl’s body. Ramsey was in jail on charges he robbed a Bessemer City bank. He said that he was looking for a deal in return for his confession in the death of Asha"

A 1973 Lincoln Mark IV, similar to the one Asha was seen climbing into.
How come the police have never released a photo of her bag. If people saw the bag it might jog their memory and maybe something will clickNow plea deal does make sense. Well, yes, there are obviously things they keep close to the vest, especially in a case like this. Wonder when the green car came into the picture? Was it from a new tip or something they felt they shouldn't release until later, when they did. Same with the NKOTB shirt & Dr. Suess book. MOO
If what I have read is true and Asha really did go to a slumber party at her Cousin’s house on the Saturday night, this makes me believe that if she planned on meeting someone then that person was in the house where the slumber party was. This would have been the perfect opportunity for the person to co-ordinate the details. This means that it would have to be someone she knew, a family member or family friend. This could also be a link to the New Kids on the Block Nightgown that was found in her backIMO if she was walking south, this chimes in with the theory that she was going into town to meet with someone. I dont think she wouldve been headed toward school. Weren't the items in the shed verified by her parents to be hers? Like 98% or something? And what exactly does that even mean really? Which ones were hers and which weren't? (Not asking, just realizing how simple this could be made by stating exactly what items were Ashas.)
Whoever harmed or took Asha buried the bag. IMO they did not want it found, they went to great lengths to hide it miles away and in the middle of nowhere. My theory changes almost daily with this case. I lean toward her being groomed and going to meet said groomer. The $, the packing essential items, the heading into Shelby, the picture of the unidentified girl....then I also believe she was simply running away. She was distraught over the game, that she felt responsible for losing by fouling out at the last minute. Iquilla mentioned how much it bothered her throughout the weekend. She cant sleep bc she napped the night before and was probably caught up on her sleep. The game is still on her mind and shes tossing and turning. Then she decides shes gonna run away, packs a bag, and leaves. She has no idea that someone is lurking...crime of opportunity. But then come the questions.
If she walked out to "run away", like you said, why wouldnt she take a coat/jacket? It was a cold, rainy night in February. Where were their jackets kept? Were they in a place that she felt she couldnt get to without waking up her parents? How come noone heard her leave the house, yet OBryant overheard her tossing and possibly going to the bathroom? Were the bedrooms in the back of the townhome? They didn't own a computer, no cell phone for Asha. How did someone have the opportunity to groom her? When? She spent alot of time with relatives it seems, especially that weekend and also church. Plenty of opportunity there but who?
You have lived in this area, you know how dark and scary that road is at night. We have heard how Asha was afraid of dogs. Why would she go out and take that chance? What was promised to her or where was she headed to that it was worth the risk? I normally dont put much faith into witnesses, but this case is different. These witnesses seem to have really seen her, down to the clothing, bookbag and piggy tails.
And what is with the green car that LE are looking for info regarding? How did that come into play and did someone tell her to meet them at the shed? MOO
I am planning a new podcast with the first episode (or maybe the first few, depending on length) spotlighting Asha's case. If interested in joining me as a live guest please DM me. Date TBD.
Praying for you Asha. MOO
Yes, @Nadal . I plan to interview family members and associates that are willing in all of the cases that I feature. I agree with you completely, to get answers you really need to have insight from the insiders in the case and this case deserves the public's attention. And this case has so much information, possible interviewees. MOO, IMOAre you going to try and contact anyone involved with the case or just go over the case? I've always felt a podcast or longform article on Asha with interviews of those involved could unearth something at least by bringing attention to it. Of course i don't want the family or investigators or anything being harrassed, you just never know they may be willing to do something like this considering it's been over 20 years now and while it's popular on the internet it's not that known by the general public.
