STOKES COUNTY, N.C. -- The boyfriend of a 24-year-old woman found dead in Belews Creek last week was charged Sunday in her death, Stokes County deputies said.

Joshua Allen Bolen, 25, was arrested in Richmond, Va., and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina

Ashley Denise Ward, 24, was reported missing Sunday by her mother. A Raleigh medical examiner confirmed Friday that Ward's death was a homicide.
