“Calls” to me means voice calls, not a text or message. Could mean different to him but that’s promising if she actually called. Wish we had more info, I know there are people who are worried about her.

No job at the time.
She has a silver car, can't remember the brand BUT i believe her parents took it away from her.
Places, would have to be parks and the typical hangout spots around CLT but the thing is she probably isn't around here.

She is 18 with no car or job. Wonder who is paying her cell phone bill and supporting her? I would get bored pretty quick hanging around shopping malls without any money to buy anything. Plus bumming rides off people would get old. Unless she’s living with the mystery man. Charlotte isn’t a cheap place to live.

Nothing. Last I heard is she called family twice and they expected a third call but she did not call and she’s still not home. That was 1 week ago.

Good Morning, my name is Mark and I am Catie’s dad. We spoke with her by phone last night. She blocked the number so we have no idea where she was calling from. We believe she is still with a young man named Matt Starnes. Catie and Matt apparently were staying with his sister until sometime in the past week. Catie is not happy that we filed a missing persons report, but I believe that we had no choice. She is suffering from PTSD due to witnessing the murder of a close friend February 2017. If anyone has questions you can reply here or email me at [email protected]. There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding some details but we appreciate any help.

In one of the comments her dad posted yesterday that Catie called them a few times but she hasn't come home yet. Not sure what that means.

She isn’t willing to tell us where she is. Last night she called but had the number blocked.

She created that insta account before she went out west to a residential therapy program back in June of 2017. Wanted to send a message to friends that she was still around.

Thanks so much. Right now we have to rely on prayer. She is a great kid and all these decisions she has made really aren’t Catie. She spent a year in a residential therapy program and returned a bit early from that in June. First six weeks or so she was home were great.....but not since then. She and I have had a great relationship over the years but she is mad and her mom and I both right now and I think we can get past that, but it’s difficult as we have no way to contact her. She had an old iPhone of mine that she could text on when she left. It’s gone now and our guess is that she sold it for some spending money.

That individual has an outstanding warrant in Mecklenberg County for Assault on a Female.

It's sickening to know that all this time if I would've had the possibility of communicating with her that day that this may have not happened, but I literally had no way of seeing. Just got the ability to check snapchat and see it so I am going to let the police department know asap, I don't have her parents profiles and have been searching for them for a bit to tell them but no luck. If anyone can help please do.

The dad reporting that she has been in contact does not necessarily specify the manner of contact. Furthermore, her friend says she sent her an SOS message recently on Snapchat, and provided a screen capture of that message. If CA's contact with her family was via text only, there is no way of knowing whether it is actually her corresponding or if it is the individual she is purportedly with. Looking at her IG, she seemed pretty active until recently, so one would think if she was in a "happy" place and in the company of someone she wanted to be with, that she would likely post about it for the world to see.

TLDR -
Makes no sense why she vanished for so long with no contact, which is why I am skeptical of this particular report of contact.

Think that is another guy with the same name. The man she is with is a 19 year old white male. His family lives in Stanley county and the CMPD is attempting to contact them.

Exactly. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police still have her as missing.

Could she have been seen on security camera leaving her parents house 9/2?

Odd that there's no other information out there.
