GUILTY NC - Danielle Locklear, 15, Hope Mills, 11 March 2014

If you read the article you will see where she did in fact recently move from the Myrtle Beach area. Her mother said Dannie wanted to stay with her grandparents until she, the mother, could get the move completed.

Sorry, I've never heard of that tribe. Is that tribe specific to that area of NC? I'm just wondering what lead you to that.

I have learned more about them over the last few years. There are always beautiful girls of Lumbee heritage competing in the Miss North Carolina pageant. The reigning Miss North Carolina is also of Lumbee heritage, as was former Miss NC, Jessica Jacobs, who was 4th runner up to Miss America 2008.

I read the two newest articles, and maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything about cell phone activity. Has there been any mention of that anywhere?

This one isn't sounding good at all. I hope they find her safe soon. She's a very pretty young girl, and it sounds like she's loved by a lot of people.

This is pretty local for me too. I live about a half hour away. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.

Regarding the questions about the Lumbee tribe. One of the missing persons flyers says that she is biracial - half White and half Native American. The name Locklear is Lumbee. It is VERY common around here. (The actress Heather Locklear has relatives in the area.) In my opinion, the Lumbee tend to be exceptionally attractive, both the women and the men.

Praying something new breaks in this case for Dannie today.....

If not for the cellphone being turned off I would just think of this a a simple run away or being with fiends family does not know about. The cell phone off concerns me.

Someone running away or leaving an area voluntarily would pack some things, if they had things to pack, such as clothes and personal hygiene products such as shampoo and toothbrush and hair brush. Is there any talk if these items may be missing from her home?

There does not seem to be much information on the clothes that were found. Why did she have extra clothes or were these packed as if she was leaving?

How long does it take to get texts from the cell phone provider? This may hold a clue about the last actions of Danielle before the phone was turned off.

How scary, I hope she is found very soon and is safe. She's a pretty girl I could see people being jealous of her .

With her phone turned off, didn't take her purse or contacts case or other clothes, but some clothing found by the creek, then evidence that she was at a campground and also near the airport. Well this tells me that whatever "friend" meet-up she went on turned into something she had not planned for.
I don't know what article of clothing was found but if she didn't take other clothes, why would she leave some behind? Jacket? too warm that day?

What girl doesn't taker her purse if she's going somewhere far or long term? So if she was truly intending to walk to the friend's house, which her Grandfather obviously knew the location, maybe she stopped to stick her feet in the creek and something happened she had no control over -grabbed her Uggs and left her socks behind.
The weather in Hope Mills that day was a high of 79 degrees.

I wonder if the condition of the clothes indicated foul play... Such as ripping/tearing/etc.?

And I wonder if there was any blood found on them?...

And... that LE doesn't want to reveal this information at this time....

I find it interesting that Danielle's clothing was found on the creek bank two days after she went missing by her mother. The creek has been reported as a popular teen hang-out. I wonder if LE had looked there previously and had not found the clothing or if Mom was the first person to look there.

Edit:
It sounds like the creek area was searched by K-9 first and two days later, the clothing was found there by Danielle's mother.

The area that she was last known to be in was searched by Police K-9.

Some of her clothes were found there two days later but further investigation turned up nothing.

Now that is interesting. How did LE not find the clothes or were they put there after the initial search?
