GUILTY NC - Deah Barakat, 23, his wife & her sister murdered, Chapel Hill, 10 Feb 2015

Barakat shot outside the apartment, one female shot in the kitchen, and one female shot in the doorway of the next room.

Were they all at the apartment when the lunatic came to kill them?

I wonder if anyone had a problem with President Obama making a statement about the Boston Bombing? That was another case where "only" three people were killed.

It's possible some people might have had a problem with it, if they considered it only a local crime because it only happened in Boston.

Since Main StreamMedia said he was unemployed I,would like the FBI to access, whether he watched last weeks non stop coverage of the Cayla mueller case. It could Hv pushed him over the edge but I,want to know that the FBI does its job and either verifies he was following her story all week long as many of us were, and did that make him snap....that she had been held as a possible Isis wife.

easily verified by his cable news provider....comcast...not his PC but his TV.

OT: I don't have a problem with the President making a statement about the bombing however I do have a problem with the statement he made.

I don't understand what you're asking me.

Sorry. I could have been clearer. You said the article made it sound like they had been hunted and gave a description of where their bodies were found.

And I asked you how you knew they were all in the apartment when he got there and he hunted them down. Seems to me there could be many different scenarios for that crime scene. Not to mention, we don't know the layout of the apt.

Why do you have a problem with the statement the President made on this particular case?

I think that assuming that they were parking in his spot is victim blaming. Why assume that the victims were jerks? It is like people are trying to justify or excuse what happened to them. Like ~maybe he just reached his boiling point because his horrible neighbors kept parking in his spot~. Like people want to "understand" why he would be so fed up and frusturated.

i cant speak for anyone else, but i didnt assume anything - it was reported. as soon as there was evidence reported that contradicted that i posted it.
i think people often get confused when people are trying to understand what happened and stick to the evidence and they perceive that as people sympathizing with the perpetrator.
i went out of my way several times to try to make that clear in my posts. anything i am discussing is strictly to understand the motive, im sure you can see why it is important in this case.
anyway i have no idea if your post was meant to include me but i took it as another good chance to make it clear i have no sympathy for this man, and nothing i say should give anyone the
impression that i have anything other than complete sympathy and respect for the victims. they seemed like incredible people.

My understanding is that the husband was shot at the door, either falling back into the apartment or just outside of it.
------

According to the search warrants, a woman flagged down police and directed them to Barakat's and Yusor Abu-Salha's condo, saying her friend was bleeding. When officers arrived, they found Barakat dead in the front doorway bleeding from the head; one of the sisters was found in the kitchen, and the other was in the doorway to the kitchen.

Re: parking
My understanding is that each condo got one parking spot. The rest were for visitors, the alleged killer warned the neighbours not to park in the visitor's space next to his assigned parking because it was for his wife. The victim's sister said they steered clear of that spot after some drama, but I'm not aware if anyone was parked there at the time of the murders, or if this even fuelled he killing at all. She claims neither her brother or his wife's sister were parked there.

If this is true, what a self entitled so and so! He's a bully who sees himself as the victim, imo, he'll never see or make sense. Blaming these 3 young people for his own failings is just pathetic! Imo, he represents nothing!

If it's true that he wanted the visitor's space adjacent to their assigned space reserved for his wife, it really says a lot about him. Why would he not allow his wife to park in the space assigned to them and he park in a visitor's spot? Indeed, he sounds entitled and arrogant - an attitude that will get him "special" treatment in prison. JMO

Didn't see your post until I had already posted. According to the Rules and Regulations, visitor parking is on the street only. It doesn't state how many parking spaces per unit, but that unit owners must park in their assigned spaces.

If another vehicle had been parked in one of Hicks' assigned spaces, I wonder if it belonged to a visitor other than Razan, but Hicks assumed the vehicle belonged to a visitor of Yusor and Deah. Maybe the vehicle parked there, if there was one, looked similar to Razan's vehicle or the vehicle of another frequent guest of Yusor and Deah. The "offending" vehicle could have been gone by the time LE arrived.

If you follow the link for gettyimages in my post above, the photographer also has photos of two vehicles that have carolina dentistry decals on them. One of them has a parking sticker, the other does not.

I still can't figure out the parking arrangements. From reading the rules, there are assigned spot(s) for each condo. Visitors must park in the street. If there are more cars then assigned spot for a condo, the extra cars must find another location to park. They may not park on the street for long periods of time. So was he was complaining about residents parking in visitor spots long term?
I don't know why I keep researching all the parking rules and layouts.
