October 31, 1999- 16 year old Denkita was shot in the head Halloween night following a party. Witness stated they heard gunshots while walking with friends in the Creekwood community. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

I have known about this case for a while and wish there was more information on it. She was only 16 years old! I feel like there should be more coverage on her case

She wasn’t the target. She was near her house but not at home. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was supposed to be at that party but stayed to have Halloween work my niece who was 2 at the time.
