The first wife's obituary did not list any children. What did this “person of interest” do for a living? Has he ever had a job, been in the military, anything?
I wonder if Elizabeth’s fall and injury to her forehead on January 1, 2006 had anything to do with anyone’s temper flaring, perhaps after drinking on December 31? I wonder if she had children who may be grown now? She was only 42.
Who’s so unlucky to have one 42 yo wife die from blunt trauma to the head in a home accident on New Years, then 13 years later have your 38 yo wife be killed by homicide?
What we know about this couple and case from the media
2006 - 1st wife died
2019 - 2nd wife disappeared/deceased
10 year old son/18 year old daughter (assume step-daughter he adopted based on last name and age)
So between 2006 and 2009 (based on age of son) - he meets a woman from Columbia, she relocates herself and a young daughter to US and Nash County, they marry and son born.
She was 38, he's 58 (20 year age difference)
When she relocates she's no more than 28 and daughter no more than 10. I assume she has no family here and the one good friend she made says husband made the relationship end.
Were involved in church family
Wife did work outside the home as nurse, not sure what job husband had/has - maybe rental property
3/8 Daughter reports mother missing
3/9 hubby and mailman says that's last time they saw her; work reports she hasnt been to work in few days,
3/10 hubby tells church family Sunday wife is fine but she's not in church
3/11 sheriff's department has crime tape around house
3/12 DOT worker finds 'decomposing' body 30 miles from home (no media coverage there, only the places in Nash County being searched are shown)
3/12 Hubby (POI) questioned but released
3/13 Positive ID of body.
To date, no arrests.
2 lingering questions - what happened between 3/8 and 3/11 and why no LEO action until 3/11.
Nash County sheriff confirms body found is that of missing woman, says foul play involvedI don’t think the daughter reported Diana missing until the evening of Saturday, March 9. And didn’t the UPS driver/mailman see her on Thursday, not Friday?
Who reported husband going to church and saying she was fine? I hadn’t read that. Did he attend regularly?
