The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Girl doing a school photograph project, was going through an abandoned house and found the bones in what could have been a closet or small ante room.

I really can't find anything to concretely date this clothing but I seem to recall braided belts and boxy stretch jeans like that being trendy from about 2002 to 2009. I know I used to buy Apostrophe clothing about a decade or so ago but I couldn't tell you what department store sold the brand and I can't find anything online about what year the company went out of business. But I'm thinking either the UID was into vintage clothing or she died several years ago. She was also not very tall 5' 3"-5' 5"(63-65 inches) but probably full-figured, since she was wearing plus sized women's clothing. JMO.

Apostrophe is a Sears brand that is manufactured and distributed by them. The RN number is 15099 and you can go to the FTC database to look it up. It does not look like the brand is being sold by them anymore because there is nothing available on their website. (Their website does show items being sold in the secondary market like ebay but nothing from them) Danskin shoes are sold in Wal-Mart currently.

Bromley Coats is a manufacturer based in the fashion district in NYC. They are still in business. I see evidence that they have distributed their products through Kohls and Burlington Coat Factory in the past. I see nothing current on the websites for either.

This case is not quite as old as I think the clothes may be but Sara Graham, missing since 2015, has the body type that I imagine this UID had (based on the clothing sizes): NC - NC - Sara Graham, 18, Fairmont, 4 February 2015 - #3

Sara is the right height too (5'4" and 160 lbs) but she had braces on her teeth when she disappeared and there's no mention of braces on these remains. Also Sara is Native American. However, it is not uncommon for race identification of the UID to be incorrect, especially when all they have are skeletal remains. MOO.

Danskin is still being sold in stores, I personally see most of the work out gear like shirts and yoga type pants and stuff, the shoes tho I don’t remember seeing when danskin released their shoe line, might help considering the clothes have been out before the shoes.
Any thrift shoppers here? You can find these brands at mostly any thrift shop as the lines discontinue. So say a brand has stopped being made in the 90’s, you go to a thrift shop and you will most likely see it there (assuming still good quality and still has some fashion left). That’s why it can be hard to date clothes on a deceased persons.

Also, location play a big role. Does anyone have an address per say? I was able to pinpoint location but can only do so much without an address, fire number, etc. Can find out when location has been abandoned as well as history of location who owns and all that.

When looking up the story one that fits the time line is human remains found in an abandoned house in the 2500 block of Carpenter Pond Rd. When I google earthed the location this looks to be the only abandoned "house" however behind this place there is a few other buildings that a road behind here goes to. This sits on the outside of what looks to be a horse farm called Castle French Farms.

I found that in May 2013 David Bromley married and he and his wife formed Bromley and Co.

ETA: I found that same place as well using the coordinates (forgive spelling lol) that’s on the namus site, I’ll provide the google street pic (which is the same house you posted) so I’m assuming we’re correct on location. There is an old sale sign in front of driveway that is just the wood, so I wonder when the place or land was listed as sold or if someone a neighbor bought the land. No info on whom lived there which is why I’m guessing there is no fire number??

The farm has 130 acres and staff lives on site. So that farm could have bought that land when it was at some point for sale, which could explain why the yard for the abandoned house has been kept up. Hmm. That then brings me to the thought that could the staff at the farm have noticed anything odd happening in that house in the past few years?
