Sheriff’s Detectives Asking for Public’s Help in Locating Missing Man

August 28, 2018

Lincolnton, NC – Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man who was last seen in western Lincoln County.

Edward Clifford Garrett, 29, of Cherryville borrowed a vehicle from a Cherryville resident over the weekend and was going to western Lincoln County to visit a friend. He was last seen at the residence in the 200 block of Highway 274 early Sunday morning.

He reportedly left the residence heading back home to Cherryville but never arrived. The vehicle was found unoccupied and parked on the side of the road on Dave Heafner Road, Crouse, NC on Monday, August 27, 2018.

Garrett is described as a white male, 5 feet – 6 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Garrett has a Superman tattoo on his right arm and a Tasmanian devil tattoo on his left arm.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Garrett is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050 or the Lincoln County Communications Center at 704-735-8202.

I googled the places he went and where the vehicle was found abandoned really isn't near his home or the residence he was last seen at. Where the red pin is on this google map is where the vehicle was found.
