The FBI is offering an additional $25,000 reward in connection with the Erica Parsons case.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office was already offering $25,000 in the case.

I don't get a chance to read up on this case as often as I'd like. Can someone tell me if they've searched the home where Erica was last seen? Used sonar?

They spent more than 12 hours at the home collecting evidence, poking holes in the back yard and marking the ground with orange flags.
Not surprised to see this at all, but I'm glad regardless. You KNOW those two have issues when even their own family members don't want them to get their kids back.
Yes, the home was searched in August and dogs were brought back in October/November (I'll have to look). I'm not sure about sonar. BRB.
Correction: Home searched on July 30, 2013 (As far as we know that was where she was last seen, according to the brother who reported her missing)
Edit #1: Second search with bloodhounds was on Oct. 22, 2013:

Something led up to LE poking the holes. That might have been sonar. I can't remember. I'll keep looking.

It is clear that Casey and Sandy Parsons have not been truthful and provided the information that would lead to the whereabouts to find Erica," investigators said.
"Sandy and I have been completely truthful in everything we know about this case. Rowan County has said from the start we are lying but we aren't," Casey Parsons told WBTV.
This is Casey Parsons' response to the FBI announcing an increase in the reward money:
"I think this is excellent. I am very excited to hear this. You have made my day with this announcement, thanks."

She said she and her husband found out when the whole world did that Erica was missing and that there was no Irene Goodman.
We felt horrible. We are not lying. We are telling the truth, she said.
Snipped from article: The family is in talks with ABCs 20/20 to create a special report on Erica Parsons.

Casey can't even keep her stories straight on the same day. In the video at this link:
http://www.wbtv.com/story/24588396/s...eward-expected
she says they've been on cloud 9 since the new reward was offered. But in the written article it says:
"Sadly the increase in the reward is probably to make the Rowan County Sheriff's office look good. We feel they stopped looking for Erica on the second day. Hopefully they are still looking for her but I doubt it. We are and will never give up!!"
Which is it, Casey? :banghead:
