Gideon Andrew Ferguson, a 14-year-old boy, is missing. He was last seen around 4:00 PM at his residence on Watermoss Drive in Cleveland.

Deputies, canine units, and drones are actively searching the area at this time.

Local News Iredell County deputies use drones, K-9 units to search for missing teen

I am local and have mutual friends. There is a HUGE police outreach on this. The community has organized and there are neighbors hanging the missing person flyer from Charlotte to Cleveland. Many have commented on the amazing efforts being unusual for a missing 14 year old. It seems to be more than just a teen who walked out of his home vibe.

I know many of you are wonderful at thinking outside of the box. Any and all help is appreciated!

FBI Joins Search

This is not too far (10 miles or so) from where I live. I am fairly familiar with the general area if anyone has any questions. A ton of media and media sharing going on, and as was mentioned law enforcement is out in droves. It is supposed to be a brutally cold (for NC) evening and overnight with temps in the low to mid teens. Hopefully they locate him safely before the temps turn, but if not I pray he is indoors and warm until he is located.

Local also. The last article said the search was expanded to Lincoln County- no way he walked that far so very alarming.

Yes, thats 20-30 miles southwest, depending on where they are looking. That suggests either being lured (God forbid), or someone known to both he and his family. FBI getting involved so early suggests a dire scenario, in that it may indicate that the Sheriff's department now has evidence of foul play. Hope not.
