Missing Mount Airy man considered dangerous and should not be approached, police say
A man who fled from Northern Hospital of Surry County is at times delusional and should not be approached, Mount Airy police said.
A Silver Alert has been issued for Joshua Patrick Mount, 43, who was last seen fleeing from the hospital Wednesday morning at 830 Rockford St.
Mount can be a danger to himself or others, police said, and has made comments that he wanted to go to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Police described Mount as white, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has short brown hair with a receding hairline, green eyes, a mustache and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue paper medical scrubs.
