Not sure what to make of it. Did she accept a job to dog sit and that's how she vanished? Where was her last appointment? Has that been checked? How did she usually communicate with clients?

There must be phone records at the very least. Any information about where she typically babysat dogs? Did she take rural jobs?

Thanks for the thread, @PommyMommy.
This is in my home county. No new details in the local MSM other than what you posted. Maybe something after the 11:00pm local news.
Odd. Doesn't look good. A corvette would be noticed -- maybe someone saw the car, saw her, and...
Following, of course.

Am I correct that we don't know if she had a pet sitting job during this time frame? BOY, does that car stand out! IMO

The first thing I want to know is how she communicated with clients and what that history tells police.

If searching her (potential murder victim) social media accounts is going to take 3 years of red tape, and she didn't leave notes with her mother or anyone else about her schedule, camera footage from her house and beyond has to be searched.

I’m hoping that she shows up at the end of the week, feeling rather sheepish because she spilled a cup of water on her phone, and couldn’t contact anyone because, like everyone these days, she doesn’t have any phone numbers memorized.

But, thoughts of bodies of water cross my mind, any time people go missing with their car. A trail of camera footage would be very good.

All my speculation, of course

Good point, @wary -- I didn't have my phone with me when I went to a store and ordered something... I didn't know my own phone number -- I gave them the first 3 digits of my number, and the next 4 digits of my DH's number. D'oh. As soon as I got home, I called them and corrected it. SMH. I still remember "old" phone numbers that were used back when cell phones were not a thought...
That could have happened to Kathleen as well, but it's been too long IMO for that to be the reason she is not back home.
With her having a red car, and it being a corvette, seems like it would have been seen, even if the seer was not aware of someone in trouble. I don't know what to think...
Just now checked MSM -- nothing new at all that I could find.

Her dog sitting gigs are that far away from her home that she couldn’t leave for an hour or two?

I used to dog sit in homes but I was on the Rover app. Never had to dog sit 24/7.
I was free to go run an errand or get food/gas/etc.

Dog sitting at client’s homes is her full time job?

A 1999 Chevy Corvette and RED at that??? THAT is a very distinctive auto. This isn't like her vehicle was a sedan or minivan or SUV that blends right in. SOMEONE has to notice that car.

I am searching the internet and there is almost nothing on this. It isn't like this case is 10 or 15 years old. If Kathleen has been located I would have hoped LE would have said something.

So she was located on Sunday at the place where she was pet sitting in Apex?

I’m glad it wasn’t my pets, I’d be frantic not hearing anything after a week of someone staying in my home taking care of my pets!

I didn’t see her on Rover which is pretty much what everyone around here uses.

All my speculation—

Maybe the pet owners had a landline—such things exist here and there, I’ve been told. ;)

So, they could communicate back and forth, and of course, no one knew she was missing.

But, she probably couldn’t call family, because she didn’t know anyone’s number, as I speculated above. And of course, since she knew she was just fine, she didn’t realize how much others were worrying—I’ve made that mistake, myself.

Good thinking!

Since she lives with her mother and frequently communicates when pet sitting yet no one knew if she was pet sitting seemed off. She didn’t tell anyone she was petsitting and just seemed to disappear.
I hope she puts up a calendar for her mom or is sure to send an address for where she is in case of an emergency.
