It is all unbelievably sad. For all the families involved.

With his 105 friends on facebook, I bet the reporters are out trying to get some that knew him to talk. This should be interesting.

Tin Man has been taken down off of You Tube. Why would they do that if it's the wrong person. Also, they look alike.

if JW created the myspace - who's taking the videos off the site right now?

It is the band's site.
I'm sure other members have the log-on.

In the U tube video I watched, it shows his name when he is performing and singing and Shows the others names also. This looks like the same person to me Seems to me there is too much Greenville connection with JW's sister having lived there and the band Raleigh/Greenville. The myspace account states that Adam Lewis is the one that graduated from ECU. Just seeingJW's picture, you would never guess that he did such a thing. He looks like the average guy to me but apparently, you can't go on looks. Pretty clean cut looking guy but apparently he has a lot of problems to say the least. Wonder if he ever Played at GG?

I've never known GG to have live music.

I think this is the right guy... the news account says it is. The myspace account has deleted all the friends now but I looked at some of them just before they got deleted. Seems a lot of Greenville connections on there!

Do you think they are taking it down due to the shock or to sell it later?

In looking at the carefree performances, I just wonder, if this is the right person, what happened?

Does anyone know when they last perfomed in Raleigh. The performance on the couch said Sept. 2009. I have a girl that works in my office, whose bf is in a local band. They are into that scene. I haven't been able to reach her to see if they know JW.

I find this heartbreaking.

I so agree. I am just stunned by this. I just would NEVER have expected a decent-looking young man, with a musical interest and talent, a wide circle of friends (as evidenced by his facebook page), and a family home that seems upper-middle-class, to be the accused perpetrator of this horrific crime. What happened? The only explanation must be drugs don't you think?

He had previous drug arrests. His former band member said 'drinking problem', but I bet it was more of a drug problem. That would also explain burglarizing homes. Often, an addict becomes desperate and resorts to property crime.
The rape and vicious blow to the head is what is so puzzling.:waitasec:

That's what I'm saying. I can understand becoming addicted and so desperate for money you break in and steal things, even if you hit someone to help you escape capture, but rape the person? I don't understand where that comes from, especially an incapacitated person! That boggles the mind. PLus, if he was desperate for the money or items, why take the time to rape and not take the items?

Were they his plastic bag corners? Is that where the police got the DNA? Did he stay there for hours and do those drug there?

Great questions Prancy. Will we every find out? It is all very sad but I will feel better knowing it's a confirmed done deal for arrest.

I imagine heroin/crystal meth etc. could make a person pretty irrational/out-of-control.

What's troubling me is if you were intending to burglarize...what makes you change your mind and bludgeon + rape instead? Do we know for a fact that nothing was taken? Guess we'll know a lot more tomorrow when RPD updates us...

My other question is that did D let him into the house or did he break in or no because of the unlocked door? Was she buying drugs and do we know for sure she does drugs?

The plastic bag corners could have been the homeowner's for all we know.
