If he was so diminished, how was he able to draw pictures of what happened? Go! Let's start a David Saacks Fan Club.

Good point about not using notes. I was so enthralled I didn't notice.

I haven't seen him refer to any notes or a binder filled with an outline of notes yet.
Brilliant!

I know. He is clear, precise, detailed. ROCK ON :rocker:

Beautiful closing argument. Brought it home.

I am so glad, thankful, that he showed the picture of Kathy at the end. Brought it back to her and her beautiful smile.

If he's found guilty of rape then felony murder rule applies and he would be convicted of first degree murder under that statute:

Felony Murder Rule - States that any death which occurs during the commission or attempt to commit certain felonies, which include arson, rape or other sexual offenses, burglary, robbery or kidnapping, is first-degree murder and all participants in the felony can be held equally culpable, including those who did no harm, had no weapon, and did not intend to hurt anyone. Intent does not have to be proved for anything but the underlying felony. Even if, during the commission of the underlying felony, death occurs from fright -- a heart attack for instance, it is still first-degree murder.

It bears repeating. Thanks for this info!

Feel so bad, sore throat, achy, extremely achy muscles & joints, tight chest, dry dry cough, miserable...:please:

Bless your sweet & feisty heart, my friend. Just give in to it -- rest, rest, rest & drink fluids, give your bod time to rest and recoup. Watching the trial would be all right, but you may want to get horizontal to truly rest & sleep. Maybe laces could give you some pointers when she gets here. But I find if I give "it" (whatever mean thing it is) a day, it helps me a lot. TLC, girl, from anywhere you can get it. We love you and we're thinking healing thoughts. And :therethere::getwell::hug:

Glee, I was worried! Knew you would not miss the big finish! :cupcake: The big advice is just what everyone said, push fluids, one of the cold and flu and allergy combos - especially the powders that you mix with water - around the clock until you feel better. Rest, hot compresses around the sinus areas and nice hot showers. I also use a neti pot but some folks are grossed out by it. And here's the biggest advice: set yourself free from anything stressing you out. Trial almost done now, and we can rejoice that justice will prevail. Good will ALWAYS win over evil...and it is interesting how evil can be packaged. I'll intercede for you today. xxoo :cheer::bananalama::praying:

I agree with you all. Mr. Saacks did a fantastic job throughout this whole trial, really, and his closing statement was spectacular! I really was not at all impressed with any of the defense lawyers. I understand that Jason is a very difficult person to defend but I don't think they did a very job selling what little bit of a case they had.
