If he was so stumbling drunk that night, one would think he would have stumbled and fallen in the *strange* house he'd broken into.

You can't just take someone off of Lithium. There are terrible side effects if you remove someone's psych meds. I cannot believe he is questioning Dr. Wolfe about this. A couple of things I am wondering about. How can alcoholics drink so much without throwing up? He drank 1/2 gallon hard liquor plus beer. In the hospital setting we sedate our alcoholics for about three days till they dry out....at that point, once they are well enough to go home, they start the process all over again. We don't fix what makes them drink. - Another thing I am wondering about is, what is considered "badgering the witness?" In my humble opinion, he was coming close....was he not? I have no answers, only questions.....Oh, one more thing. Drunks cannot perform sexually - so the Ritalin intoxication made that possible?

BBM I know! I know! As a recovering alcoholic I can tell you that it was usually more likely for yours truly to pass out or spend a considerable amount of time peeing than puking. Why I have no idea, but that's how it was for me.

I do believe Ritalin could have helped his 'performance', though I did not see or read the report - was KT raped with an object also?

I've lost my sound??? Anyone else lose theirs?

I have but it may be due to the jurors looking at more evidence right now.

Thanks, I was just sitting back down at my computer desk and I thought perhaps I accidentally clicked on or touched something to screw up my feed again. :rocker:

It would surprise you the sh... I was able to pull back in the day. Ginger Rogers had NOTHING on my drunken dancing moves... high heels and all. :Banane57: :bananapowerslide:

p.s. I am more than grateful and blessed to be sober today, so don't y'all think I am excusing or glorifying alcoholism. I just have learned that I have to look at myself less seriously, and always remember what kind of a uber-beeyatch I become when I drink.

OT/ I'm hearing about some sort of *movement* at the Edwards trial on the local news. Hubby has the TV on downstairs, and I hear them saying the defense team is arriving at the courthouse, but no word as to a possible verdict.

Have we figured out what books they were yet?

No, glee -- I thought the good Doc might say or be asked, but no banana.

I think no1's suggestion of graphic novels is the best bet we've got, and there's lots & lots of those around. And they ain't Superman comics, prolly something more like SuperStud or Dog Collars Aren't Just for Dogs Anymore, etc.

I am very happy, and proud of you, for becoming sober. I'm sure you can dance just as well now :)
There are many alcoholics in my immediate family and because of what I've seen with them I do not drink at all, never have. I have a son whom I'm terribly afraid is beginning to drink too much due to 'life issues' and so far he either doesn't understand, or doesn't want to admit, that drinking only adds to the problems.
I applaud you sobriety as I know it must have been difficult for you at times. Glad to have you with us on this trial!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll turn on my tv to check. I'm ready for that trial to be over and for JE to crawl under a rock for the next 50 years.

Yes, glee, especially remembering what mama said. Can't you just hear/see him going up & down the inside stairs, on feet light as a feather? Cool as a, um, er, cucumber??

No wonder KT mumbled something or made some kind of sound.

One day at a time, seattle-slew, one day at a time. I'm glad to hear about your hard-earned sobriety! No easy task, even for the strong ones...

And thanks for the banana dancers, made me LOL!

I do think JW spent a fair amount of time getting sick after drinking the amounts he drank. They brought up the fact of him sleeping with a bucket next to the bed several times.

I personally can't imagine ever wanting to imbibe a substance and to the level that would then cause me to become nauseous. To me there is no worse feeling than nausea.

I'll say they are hung -- just like he thought he was a while back -- and just like he should be today...:what:

Maybe I'm seeing what I wanna see, but looking at the defendant, I think he looks scared as heyell. Maybe it's his meds. He's swallowing a lot, and really listening to Driver and Savage.

It's getting closer and closer to showdown/throwdown time, Jason. How're you feeling, Big Guy??? Wouldn't you like a drink now, Mr. Smart Stuff?

I'm with you. Got to be a hung jury. I mean, come on, one of the jurors was openly nodding along with the DT's closing and has been smiling openly at JE as the jurors have been coming in and out the courtroom during debilerations.

I and I REALLY want to know what what's up with the alternates wearing the same color shirts and Thrusday (canary yellow) and then the alternates plus two jurors wearing red shirts on Friday. I really want to know what that is all about and I have a feeling this jury WILL talk after they're released. CAN. NOT. WAIT. to hear from them!

I missed that. Totally gross. But let's face it, for some people - their normal is our abnormal, and vice-versa.:notgood::notgood::notgood::notgood::notgood::notgood:

Does anybody know what time they're resuming after lunch? Sorry, I was busy making notes about this case, on high alert for J. Edwards and getting all my information sources lined up in case something happens with that and playing a form of "I'll call your bluff"/Russian Roulette with Pottery Barn on the phone (I won!)

I think I need to take a pill and lay down for a bit.

Sorry to break up the makeup talk...but back to the case.

WHAT TIME will court resume from lunch?

I am not certain, my sound went off before they actually broke for lunch.
