Silver Alert issued for missing Mint Hill man

Police are searching for 65-year-old Kent Reid who they say is believed to be suffering from dementia or Alzheimers. Reid is described as a Black male, about 5'11" and weighs around 250 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair and was last seen wearing a blue Nike t-shirt and dark-colored shorts. Police said he was last seen walking away from an area on Central in Mint Hill, North Carolina.

Anyone with information about Kent Reid should call Conner Furr at the Mint Hill Police Department at (704) 889-2231.

Apparently Kent also went missing in October 2020 but was found within the same day:

I believe that he went missing again on February 1, 2025 from Concord, NC, and has been located safely.

This thread is for Kent Reid, age 65, who went missing on June 30, 2023 from Mint Hill, NC. His NamUs link is still active, but the Silver Alert that was issued for him was canceled.

See the following linked article dated February 7, 2025. It includes a picture of Kent Reid, age 67, who was located after having been missing since February 1, 2025. I believe that it is the same Kent Reid who is the subject of this thread. If so, the NamUs page should be deleted.
