Exactly right. We don’t know who gave the information about her leaving on foot. We don’t know if that was from bf or other members of the household.

CB’s post yesterday afternoon when he was very frustrated had me take pause. He said, “I know what’s going on and it’s killing me and my family.” I don’t know if he was referring to the LE investigation or he is talking to the people who he thinks might have his daughter or know what happened to her.

I read CB's post/comment completely differently. I read it simply as, yes, he knows his daughter is missing. Nothing more, nothing less. It appears that a lot of people he doesn't know have been sending messages/making comments, and his post was one of frustration. I could be wrong, but I get the sense that he writes from frustration at not being able to do more as opposed to knowing anything more.

Who reported her missing?
Who gave information on what she was wearing?
Which way down Hibbs Road was she headed?
Is the sighting of her the following morning considered to be credible?

Just read through the thread and I have the same questions as you all. It is very bizarre. I don't have much to add. If she did leave on foot, she could have been intoxicated or impaired. We don't know anything about her but that's one reason I could think of for someone storming out on foot instead of in a car. Perhaps someone else in the house was holding her keys and she was mad about it and left.

I haven't read anything about LE interviews but LE may have interviewed the last people to see her and don't believe their stories. They may think it's more about collecting evidence and bringing charges against someone than conducting a town-wide search. I hope not, but we've seen it before.

I do feel awful when I see the scammers and fake PIs and crazy FB mobs come out in a case. I almost wish we had a volunteer WS family liaison program where people could work with Tricia to reach out to families and provide free help when they need it. Our members have done such great work setting up "Missing" FB pages and creating flyers when families have asked WS to get involved.

When I saw this earlier today I immediately thought of Kristen. CB is aware of this arrest and it appears he will try to insure that investigators question him re: Kristen if they haven’t already.
There’s also been reports of men following women and children in the Morehead City Walmart where Kristen shops and which is not that far from her home on Hibbs Rd. If she did leave the house that day on foot and was upset, maybe crying, she might not have had her guard up and could look very vulnerable to someone with bad intentions.

Interesting indeed. He could be spiraling and needs his compulsive "fix", as some serial predators tend to do. If they succeed, it's all they can think about until they do it again.

She could be victim #2, or worse.

Gary, we know the Bennett family has been subjected to opportunists, extortionists, and some very mean and hurtful people as they try to weather this ordeal. This has caused them to close down and only share what they believe to be pertinent information with their very closest friends and family. I can certainly understand this to a degree. However, there are also some very honest people here who would like to help without exploiting the family. If we had some of the most basic information as outlined by @insearchoflight above, we might be able to help you explore different options. Do you think anyone in the family would be willing to come to this forum and share some information with us? Or perhaps they might allow you to share certain information on their behalf. We would never want information that LE has specifically asked the family not to reveal. However, if more of the basic information is provided, we might have some suggestions to help the Bennetts.

I think I can speak for the other people following Kristen’s case when I say that the most important thing is to find Kristen and bring her home.

How did you find that out? I couldn’t find information that he knew the victim.
