It has been one week and Kristen is still missing.

Where are you Kristen?

This could be a very interesting case if someone who was there would provide the context upon which she purportedly left the home (Fight?Under duress? Mental issue? Intoxicated?), who was at the home when she purportedly left (family? boyfriend? Friend?), and who the home belongs to (Kristen? Dad? Boyfriend?). I just read all of dad's FB pleas to help locate, but there is literally nothing anyone can do without knowing those most fundamental facts. If anyone in the know is reading here, please know that safety trumps privacy.

I agree wholeheartedly. Some people seem to be playing with Dad and he is running around responding to all kinds of sighting reports that turn out to be nothing. I think he honestly thinks that she is with someone and some of her friends are covering for her. I hope this is not just wishful thinking on his part. Her closest friends and family members have not heard anything from her in a week.
As you stated, without knowing the circumstances of her leaving, it’s hard to sleuth this case.

Yeah, whatever is going on there seems to be increasing his stress load immensely and unnecessarily. However, I also find it rather bizarre that no one has even commented "Hey, why did she leave?" "What state of mind did she seem to be in?". That information is vital for folks like us - local or not - trying to help piece together data for probable places to look. It also, of course, is the most common sense way to approach situations like this.

CB seems to think that some people know what happened to Kristen or are withholding information about who she is with. Seems as if they are trying to track down a person who goes by the nickname of Rhino. This name was mentioned very early on and has popped up again. Reading between the lines Kristen may have met this person at a bar in the Morehead City area, Jack’s Waterfront Bar.

CB has said that Kristen’s boyfriend has been with him all along and appears not to suspect that he has anything to do with the disappearance.

I’m wondering now if she got in an argument with the bf or whoever was with her at the house last Tuesday and she stormed out and disappeared from there. Still not sure who provided the info on what she was wearing. Whoever did, it seems like that was the last person who saw her. If she ran off to be with this guy Rhino, it seems like she would have told a friend. May be she met up with him that day and things didn’t go as planned.

What could possibly go as planned with a guy named "Rhino". Sheesh.

"Rhino" or "Ryno" is a pretty common nickname for dudes named Ryan. If they don't know who Rhino is or his actual name, that's where I would start.

I don't find that nickname worrisome if the guys actual name is Ryan or something similar, but if he's called Rhino and his name is something entirely different then I am 100% with you haha

I can't believe how many people are giving Kristen's family and friends such a difficult time and for the person trying to exploit the father, isn't that illegal? I feel like the Holloway family experienced that and charges were brought on the person who was trying to get money for evidence. Is this type of behavior typical? I would start with the bar, finding out who Rhino is, inspecting the home and the last person who was with her for scratches or marks, or local mental health/treatment centers. I would also scope out cameras to see if anyone captured her on foot and would certainly put a notice out to check cameras before they are recorded over. Definitely praying for the family and loved ones of Kristen and praying she makes it home safely and soon.

This morning Dad is trying to get flyers to airports and asking if there is any way a person could travel internationally without an ID.
There is also a new flyer that said she did take her cellphone and purse. He said last week that the last ping on her phone was at 1:15 on the day she went missing.
Sounds like Rhino was military and that Kristen met him in a bar. Dad has asked people to check around the local military bases. One, Cherry Point, is very close to her home.
Does Dad think Rhino may have shipped out and Kristen was trying to go to where he is stationed?
Does Dad think human trafficking could be involved?
She is in NCIC
There have been a few local news stories, not too much from local law enforcement. I’m thinking they suspect “voluntarily missing”. Still, she has a young son, close friends and family, and from what they say she would not go this long without contact.
Still do not know the circumstances surrounding the day she left. Storming out in anger, or under the influence is a lot different than “I think I’ll go for a walk”.
Not sure what to think at this point.

She may have been voluntarily missing initially, but a young lady spotted walking with her purse at 4am on a busy street increases the likelihood that that is no longer the case. And LE should treat it that way at this point, considering that she has a child and as a mother is unlikely to be gone without any contact for this long.

Having said this, I do hope - as Sincerely mentioned - that they have checked in with mental hospitals ACROSS THE STATE. What I mean is that in NC if she checked into or was taken to a local emergency room due to her circumstances, and she met psychiatric inpatient criteria, she could've been taken to countless psychiatric hospitals across the state. It's a first-come, first-serve system in NC, and if a local or regional psychiatric hospital doesn't have the availability or denies someone due to lack of insurance or other reasons, then they will send her to whomever accepts her. And that could be anywhere from Murphy to Manteo.

I couldn't agree more! It would be beneficial for the people who are trying to help to have those very important details. I wish we had a verified insider to give us more to go on. I also agree that they may suspect she volutarily left but I'm not sure I believe that. Even if they do suspect that, I am disappointed that the local LE isn't doing more to help them find her. The family is seems adament that she wouldn't go this long without contact especially with her son.
I hope that they put together a FB page for her. It would probably be easier for them and all of us who are trying to help to have one place to get updates. I would think most people don't want to go to someones personal FB account to find out what's going on and would rather have a page dedicated to just her.
I know that there was one person who says they saw her on Hibbs but it still shocks me that there weren't more people to see her. During the day, on a weekday there is a contant stream of cars going back and forth on that narrow road. How was there only one person who noticed her? Has anyone seen anything more about the alleged sighting of her walking on 24 that they had early on? I haven't seen anything that says it was a a true, verified sighting but, if it was, knowing that location would be info that would certainly help all of us looking for her.

I suggested a FB page to someone close to the family a couple of days ago. Haven’t seen anything yet.
CB said today that “LE is doing everything they can.”
Don’t know if they asked him not to give out more info on when she went missing.
He seems to share with a close circle of friends. I don’t know if he may be trying to protect her reputation, but after this much time if he wants more input, he really needs to share what he knows. JMO

This poor family. I hope she is found safe. I cannot stand these scammers who seem to come crawling out of the woodwork like cockroaches.

I'm glad you suggested the FB page OldCop. It surprises me to hear that CB said LE is doing everything they can because I haven't really seen them do much more than put out a flyer. I hope they are doing much more behind the scenes that it would seem. It can be frustrating for those of us that want to help to not have enough facts to go on. I totally get not wanting to put all your cards on the table and that the family and LE needs to keep some things close to their vest, but at some point more information is going to be needed in order to generate more leads. Hopefully there the family will get a lead or hear something soon. My heart is hurts for them

respectfully snipped by me

You're absolutely right, even if she left voluntarily in the beginning it has been over a week since anyone has seen or heard from her. It seems more likely than not that it is no longer a voluntary situation.
Mental hospitals are a great place to start looking. Meanwhile why not conduct some searches in the areas around Hibbs Rd, 24 and 70? The Croatan is a large area and is within about a mile of her house. IMO there should be people out there combing those woods. Without more to go on the only thing we can really do is keep our eyes peeled and hope she is brought home safe and sound.

As always, everything I say is JMO

Someone with a type A personality needs to step in as this families rep. They have the passion, but they don’t have the know how it seems. She’s gorgeous and I hope she’s ok. The ransom situation is so sketchy! Then there was that chick that was kidnapped and everyone called her a liar then the kidnapped got himself nabbed. Also that blonde in Cali that showed up on the side of the road in time for turkey day dinner. Who knows anymore.

Has anyone said if they saw or spoke to her at all that morning other than the last person to see her?

Good question. I don’t know.
