The witness watched the Stepford Wives. Good for him. It's the 2004 version. Good. The suspect was an extra. Okay. Now we have it on the record that she knows that Stepford Wives is about brainwashed women that don't remain brainwashed.

Finally the Judge is asking for the purpose of this evidence!

The defense is trying to convince the jury that AH knew nothing, because GH took the body to Kinston to dismember (remember, AH was at Chick-Fil-A and didn't know that Laura was dead!).

He didn't of course, but that's where they're going. GH did the "deed" at one of these "properties" in Kinston, thus using all that gas on the back-and-forth trips between Raleigh and Kinston. AH is an innocent victim, don't you know...

Ah! Thank you Boodles! I'm just wondering if those derelict houses had electric running? Did the PI search for blood evidence??? Any evidence??? Or did he just take pictures of run-down/abandoned-looking houses.

OMG! Do the want to show the movies???

FYI- Stepford Wives is on LOGO @ 7 PM.
I thought about watching it to try and spot her.
Maybe.

  • #165
Is the judge gonna tear a new one for that defense attorney?

  • #166
He wants the jury to watch these two movies??

  • #167
We will start tomorrow morning with PI's movie review of second version of Stepford wives

Didn't the skilsaw need electricity though? I mean, I could almost stretch myself to believe that he took her elsewhere, but details matter, and it does not seem like these old houses have any type of electricity available.

Judge to def:
"What is the purpose of this evidence?"

  • #170
def to judge:
"Grant Hayes portrays the Talented Mr. Ripley and Amanda is a Stepford Wife"
Judge is laughing through his sniffs.

How hilarious would it be if they based everything on the 1970's version by mistake?!?
Which with Gaskins, is not so far fetched!

LOL..Twitter...the jury is headed to the closest bar, beware of screeching tires. (paraphrased)

  • #173
Wow. This is a pretty desperate defense. Worse than Arias IMO. I would have done a plea deal if I was her.

  • #174
Also, just think. Lil' Grant carrying a dead Laura down from the third floor, placing her in a car, carrying her into an abandoned house???

  • #175
Did I understand correctly that the defense wants to demonstrate that Grant believed that Amanda could as easily manipulated as a Stepford Wife? If so, what does that have to do with whether Amanda could think for herself?

I hope that does not happen or there would be a mistrial.

And no one has found evidence that Amanda ever acted in a semi-famous version of the Stepford Wives. I guess she could have done a small local theater? I'd be nice to know where exactly this occurred and when.

  • #178
"I would object on the grounds it's a waste of time." Gotta love the Boz!!

  • #179
Their entire defense seems to be based on Grant Hayes' character, but it seems to me that this is an error in judgement.

  • #180
The judge seems dumbfounded with the defense explanation for the purpose of this testimony.
