Defense is trying a "Hail Mary' last shot.

Borndem's correct. Juries never deliberate in this county past around 5pm or maybe 5:30pm at the latest.

Yay Judge!

Did they add 2nd degree murder to the counts? I thought it was only 1st degree and accessory after the fact.

  • #986
2nd degree is on there.

  • #987
Judges often add 2nd degree murder as a consideration for juries in this area. There's some rule that they follow where they have to decide if it could be warranted. Most of the time it is (warranted) and the judge adds it even if neither side asked for it.

Are they cutting the sound off with Boz, or is that just my stream?

Mistrial....LOL!!!

  • #990
Gaskins adds something and the judge's nose goes wild.

  • #991
LOL they tried everything to the last second!

This has been one of the more difficult cases to follow, I am so glad I have you here to share this with.
Just heartbreaking and gruesome in both the murder and the coverup.
RIP Sweet Laura....<3

Judge just made it clear that Amanda had a chance to report if she felt threatened or was in fear for her safety or her children, and she never did. Excellent!

Ooh, we do have the option of staying a little past 5. Nice.

  • #994
It seems this jury wants to render a verdict.

  • #995
get softdrinks....LOL!! That's what I would have said, too.

  • #996
What was the question from the juror? I had to answer the phone....ugh.

Can we go downstairs to get some softdrinks and such and then come back upstairs....or something like that.

Liquid refreshment. I gotcha. Thanks, aa!

Most times I give the jury an hour after lunch the following day. A night to sleep on it and lunch (on the county) before rendering their verdict.

This one could come before than IMO. There are too many coincidences showing AH played an active role in the crime.

You guys should watch her closing arguments in the Jason Young trial #2. Another standing ovation performance. Amazing, really.

She is flawless. I hope she would be in charge of trying Raven Abaroa.
