Interesting how they always have the woman attorney "taking care" of the defendant...handling their notes, questions, conversations, etc....Wilmott with Jodi Arias, lady attorney in Joshua Young (KY) case, this lady attorney with AH, I believe the lady attorney with curly hair in the CA trial?

I guess it's because usually the male attorneys are the lead attorneys? That seems to be the case. Sigh. Since the women sit second-chair, they are the ones closer to the defendant, who has to sit on the farther end from the prosecution.

Wow, Amanda smiling as she leaves the courtroom. Truly evil, imo

Justice for Laura Ackerson.

Nope. Aboroa is being tried in Durham County and Holt serves in Wake County. Different DAs, different prosecution team, different judges, etc.
If I recall correctly, Abaroa had Judge Orlando Hudson, the same judge as the Michael Peterson trial.

Deliberations have started. Well started about 5 min ago. :)

I hope they come back in like 20 minutes with a guilty verdict. I agree with JustiveFever ... RIP Sweet Laura. She died for nothing ... just trying to get what was wrongfully taken away from her and what she loved more than anything else in the world. So sad ...

And in addition to his usual sniffles he is fighting a cold and said he was losing his voice... poor guy. He has definitely earned his retirement... I hope he goes somewhere warm for a nice long vacation when the time is here!!!!

Where did the defense get the idea that Grant strangled Laura with an Apple computer cord?
I never heard this theory before, what proof did they offer of this claim?
It was used in Grant's trial, the theory after showing Grant went to the Apple store to buy a new cord/adapter. What happened to the one he had? Just a theory from the state, nobody really knows.

It seems to be part of the defense strategy in these cases. Like saying "Look how sweet our defendant is, why she couldn't possibly committed such a crime!" The chit chat, the hugging, the smiles. It really kind of makes me sick.

Jurors want to take a short break before starting deliberations.

AKA "smoke 'em if you got 'em"

Hmmmm, where is that stop smoking thread again lol.

:blushing:

Darn. Which reminds me, it is scheduled to begin THIS week.

I think it has been postponed until sometime in March because someone forgot to send out the jury summons!

Amanda Hayes defense 'so ridiculous,' says prosecutor

What they disagree on is Amanda Hayes' role in the crime and the cover-up that involved dumping the 27-year-old's dismembered body in a swampy Texas creek only for it to be found 11 days after her death.
