How much was aired online yesterday about the jury's request of the saw?

I just don't see how Grant and Amanda with their limited smarts could figure out how to clean up that well if they did they dismembered Laura in the apt. The amount of trace that you couldn't see would seem to me to be enormous. How would they be able to do that, even with bleach? I just have trouble getting past that. So, if it was done elsewhere, where?

If jury does not have all the photos in deliberation room, they may want the one of AH dumping the acid.

Judge does not look thrilled, they want a transcript of Sha's testimony

The very fact that Grant lured Laura to the apartment that day on the pretext of seeing the boys shows premeditation on his part. I'm sure he and Laura had a discussion about that and how they would kill her.

Smart, but not smart enough. They probably never thought through how to get rid of the body. They may have thought originally to wrap her in the rug and haul her out while Amanda way out, away from the boys. Reality was that Grant couldn't get her body down the stairs and then the dismemberment part came in. Grant did the shopping and Amanda was left to figure out what to do with the boys. The baby was too young to be a potential witness. In the end, the rug had to be tossed after the failed attempt to remove the body. Oh, and let's not forget that Laura's car couldn't have been large enough to secrete body rolled in the carpet anyway.

Goood thinking. That could be where the "roll her up in the rug" idea had come from, which Amanda then suggested to her attorneys.

Sha's testimony requested. A good thing?

Jury is requesting the testimony/transcript? of Sha (AH's adult daughter).

ETA: they're trying to figure out how long Sha's testimony was. (Well couldn't they just look at the elapsed time from the WRAL video feed and estimate from that? The video is online with elapsed times!)

Jurors sent note asking for transcript of Sha's testimony. Jury not in courtroom.

The jury is requesting a transcript of Sha Guddat's testimony.

I wish they could watch the videos of the trial like we can.

All of Sha's testimony?

  • #792
Well I predicted yesterday that they would ask for Amanda's testimony (i was really just being sarcastic), but they have asked for Sha's testimony instead.

I would love it if they would do a read-back in court like they do in so many trials. Sha did her mother no good at all, but I'd like to hear it again.

  • #795
Any theories on why they want this transcript? I don't think I saw her testimony.

  • #796
Hopefully they are being meticulous. Some of Sha's testimony was very damning. She did not liken her mother to a Stepford Wife. I believe Sha was very honest.

They did not specify a part of the testimony, just that they wanted her testimony. JS seems a bit concerned because the testimony was lengthy. They are trying to get an idea of just how lengthy it is.

Couldn't they just look at the elapsed time from the WRAL video feed and estimate from that? The video is online with elapsed times!

Edit to add: I just looked at the WRAL video feeds and calculated the total time Sha was on the stand was 1 hr and 44 min.

Totally OT--A juror from the Michael Dunn's trial spoke to ABC. The split was 9-3 guilty.
