I have no idea what may have happened to Madalina, but I think both parents know. I think there was a lot of shady on both sides. MOO, though.

It’s interesting that LE says the December 16 surveillance video sightings of Madalina and the relative are only “physically consistent” with their description, implying they haven’t been officially confirmed.

It’s not clear whether or not the relative OC is also missing. If so then why has that not been reported in msm? If not missing then LE must have interviewed him yet he’s not even been called a POI. LE should be all over him.

The more we learn the more nothing makes sense. There’s no evidence that Madalina is safe or even alive; her mother sits in jail talking about bags of money and accusing CP of trafficking her child. Crazy.

All my own opinion.

If there is any truth to any of this, I'd be more inclined to believe it was DC who trafficked her own child, and CP knew about it and didn't make any effort to stop it. Although I'm not convinced that's what actually happened.

Diana’s bond is 250k and CP’s is 200k. Bags of money but neither have bonded out. We’re still missing a boatload of information so maybe all will become clearer soon.

Yeah no definite answers given for any of that yet. There is so much weird movement as well as lies and truths all mixed together. Maybe they were hoping OC would lead them to Madalina if released. I would think they can't arrest him if they cannot prove it was him & her in the video. Maybe it was just their backs in the video? The cushion thing is weird. I can't even think of any other reason to burn it than covering evidence of something. Maybe they stashed the drugs that the dogs hit on in the couch and they tried to get rid of that evidence before being investigated? Either way it was some sort of evidence. All just my thoughts.

Diana has had more than enough time to realize Chris is not a threat while he’s in jail yet she remains uncooperative with LE, sharing her “theory” that Chris sold Madalina with her mother instead. Who acts like that when they believe their child is in danger?

The fact that DC and CP aren’t turning on each other big time implies IMO that they’re both involved in something dirty.

What my thoughts are, the disappearance was while CP was gone, DC wanted it to look like he took her. Dec 2 search warrant states she was in the presence of a missing child. Dec 4 she had an encounter with LE in Madison Co. IMO she went to visit MC wherever she was. Dec 16 the sighting of MC and OC in Sugar Mtn. Now the cash comes up, remember both are claiming the same thing. Also remember there was a PI asking questions in Buerk Co. I believe DC is sitting in jail because she knows MC is safe. OC is trusted by not only DC but her Mother. CP is worried about his financial stuff??? Maybe CP had plans to trade MC off and DC found out about it. After all said and done I do believe they all are involved with drugs maybe the T3 wiretap was on their phones.

Next step is offering a reduced sentence to whichever one tells the whole story first, between the two of them and OC.

I think the couch burning could be totally unrelated. I live in the middle of a forest, very rural, no city garbage disposal services. 30-ish years ago we regularly burned our trash (not realizing at the time how very toxic it was!) which did include a couch cushion or two. Or four or six

But I'm sure that LE must also have realized the child bride possibility and developed a strategy to elicit that info from one of these parents. Apparently unsuccessfully.

I wonder which charge is more severe: the one they're currently held on or receiving dowry money for a minor?

In one recorded jail call between Diana and her mother, the women discuss a bag with money, withdrawing cash, and a “theory that Chris gave the girl away for money.”

I’ve always suspected that this was the case.

LE released the CALI sighting and some of the search warrants and video sightings of OC and MC. Why did they release just this, there has to be a reason. I remember seeing somewhere that DC stayed with her brother near Asheville when she first came to the US, does anyone recall this? I believe his name is Andrei Cojocari. There is a person with this name and he has a trucking business ran from his home. Also OC has a business in FL called Com Incorporated but there is really no information on it. I still think DC is staying quiet because she knows MC is safe. Please keep Madalina in your prayers she need's all the help she can get.

Until or unless I'm forced to believe otherwise, I think Madalina was about to be sold, perhaps there was a double cross where the money was received but the transaction was not completed. I think we're going to learn that Madalina is a Solomon's baby and her mother saved her from a dreadful fate, at great peril to herself. Aware of a plan to sell my child, I can imagine how far I'd go... especially if I thought going to the police wasn't safe.

The plan may have hit an obstacle, however, if the uncle wasn't able to get Madalina out of the country as planned.

IMO Madalina knows the danger she is in, and that is a flight of survival.

I have theories about how, but I think she has left the country.

And her mother will accept whatever sentence or hardship, remaining silent.

Who was going to sell Madalina? Her mother, or her step-father?
Where did the money go?
Why wasn't it safe for DC to go to the police?
You think Madalina is alive somewhere in a trafficked situation and her mom is just an innocent martyr?

Personally, I see too many unanswered questions to have a solid theory at this point. Two main possibilities and many possible details for each:

1) MC is alive
Where is she and why?

2) MC is not alive
What happened?

I could list several scenarios for each possibility, and possible motives and indications for each one, at this point.

I haven’t been following this case as closely as a lot of y’all, just checking in from time to time, but it gets stranger and stranger every time I do.
One of my first thoughts about this case was how in the world did MC’s parents think nobody would notice or question her prolonged absence from school. Yet the two of them seem have gone about their everyday lives as if nothing had changed. According to them, they superficially inquired to each other about MC’s absence, accepted she wasn’t there and it was business as usual. Mind-boggling.
They both seemed equally shocked that police would be interested in talking about this with them. What is wrong with these people! It’s like they are completely unaware they live in a world with other people.
Just my thoughts, but I think it involves DC’s extended family in a way that somehow is OK and accepted by all of them. CP is OK with it too, or perhaps they are both afraid to say too much.
I think MC is alive. I don’t think she is still in the US.
