BODY OF 6-YEAR-OLD MADDOX RITCH HAS BEEN FOUND. SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE DETAIL

Charlotte Fire is assisting the Gastonia Police Department with the search for 6-year-old Maddox Ritch at Rankin Lake Park in Gastonia.

Maddox was reported missing around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He is autistic and non-verbal.

Ritch was last seen wearing an orange shirt with the writing "I'm the man" on the front.

FBI: There’s a lot of information that Maddox Ritch was where his family says he was & his movements were as the family alleges.

Fire Chief: Maddox’s body was found 1 mike east of the park. The area where the 6yo boy with autism was found dead was in an area previously searched.

Police have not said whether foul play is suspected and have not named any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

Do you think they wait until the autopsy results before deciding to pull out or not?

Does the FBI ever stay involved after they somewhat know if something was just an accident?

Do you think they wait until the autopsy results before deciding to pull out or not?

Speculating, there must be something about the child's remains that has caused them to stay involved. We won't know until COD and additional information is released. An example would be bruises that clearly show finger mark patterns, missing clothing, etc.

Yes, it was brought over from the previous thread when the new one was started. As it's one of the important updates for anyone who starts reading at thread #3.

However, LE just posted yesterday saying again that they were able to confirm Maddox was at the park that day. So the article itself hasn't been refuted either.

IMO If the ME has determined this was not an accident, LE is going to be watching who attends the funeral.
