GUILTY NC - Maggie Daniels, 31, murdered in her Newton apartment, 27 June 2014

SO already in the apt. when Maggie returns from WalMart seems to be a theory with some validity or it is, in the least, it's plausible. Wishing that this lovely lady was spared fear, pain and terror but that seems unlikely given the description of the CS.

This part of the quoted post: "her bf's semen was found" has caused me to search for hours and still come up without finding a source for the reference. I went back and read the probable cause .pdf document and noted Section E states: Swabs were collected and analyzed and found the presence of unknown male contributing DNA. The doc does not state that SOs semen was detected. I searched for Maggie's CS lab reports to no avail. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I never suspected the oral and the other swab was sourced to anyone other than the killer SO. IIRC, there was semen on Maggie's back, too.

I read it somewhere b/c it's the 1st time I saw/heard/read what her bf's name is. I am searching now for a link to provide, lots of print (as you know from reading through it all)

Results from evidence submitted to the State Crime Lab, including DNA swabs from seven individuals, excluded six of those individuals from evidence found at the scene. Daniels’ boyfriend matched a sperm fraction from the evidence. The other evidence either failed to match her boyfriend’s DNA profile, or no conclusion could be rendered.

Scrubbing Bubbles must have a new tv buy because I've been seeing their spots a lot since seeing they were found in MDs apartment. Product has taken on a dirty, filthy meaning for me. Will be awhile till I purchase it again (if ever), not that manufacturer is at fault of course, just conjures up sad feelings.

I've been wondering about the white hairs. So, am I understanding this correctly? Odom vacuumed his clothing at his apartment after the murder, dumped the contents of the vacuum in a cardboard box. Those contents had white hairs that matched white hairs found on Maggie, which belonged to the dog owned by the friend with whom she was seen in surveillance at Walmart?

Police said Daniels’ mother came from Ohio for the hearing but does not want to talk publicly about her daughter's death.

Because it is a capital case, Odom will be given two attorneys in the case. Channel 9 asked prosecutors how soon it will go to trial and they said not for at least a year.

Sharman Odom is accused of killing Maggie Daniels. Investigators say Daniels died of strangulation. Odom has already been indicted on charges of murder, first degree sex offense and kidnapping.

Wow. Thanks. I didn't know he raped her as well. I just remembered when they found her body and then finally arrested the gentle giant.

Monday marked the two year anniversary of the killing of a popular teacher and school counselor in Newton. Maggie Daniels was found strangled to death in her apartment. It took investigators a month to gather enough evidence to charge a man in the case.

Sharmon Odom has been held without bond ever since.

The District Attorney's office has filed notice that it will seek the death penalty if Odom is convicted of first-degree murder, but a trial date has not been set.
