Which mobile home the abandoned one (near where the sippy cup was found) or the family's?

I think they're referring to the family's home.

Can't post FB posts. It is rumor until MSM or LE state it. Be careful.

I'll delete it. It certainly isn't mainstream news but was thinking small scale I guess. No problem, TY

Is there any reports on mainstream news? Usually they pop up quickly on youtube.

direct link to the News in Onslow Facebook video referencing a sippy cup found by a searcher (no info on whether it is related to the case)

At the -11:40 ish mark is where it states a relative (auntie) of Mariah is telling reporters that the live in boyfriend, EK, MAY be a POI. That same unnamed relative reported to News in Onslow that the child's clothes were laying on the floor next to the bed.

I was told in another post that I couldn't share that link so I removed it from the posts. I don't want to break any rules. Can you clarify? Thank You!

So only open group are allowed to be linked on WS?

No it's just that unless you join the group you can't see anything. Just giving people a heads up. That's all.

  • #173
No, I don't think so, but most of us don't want to join closed groups, that's all.

I prefer closed groups, so my friends and family don't get it on my feed.

I've read in a couple of the news articles that she was "last seen at 6:45am" -- but that can't be right, IMO -- I think 6:45am was when the mom made a call to LE. News reports say the mom checked Mariah at 11:30pm & she was in her bed. I'm thinking that MSM got the 6:45am event time mixed-up.

Anyone else wondering about that?

The latest I’ve seen was mom checked on Mariah between 9-10pm before mom went to bed, mom’s bf said Mariah came out around midnight and he told her to go back to bed and the child was missing when mom went to wake her this morning. I’ll see if I can pull links back up.

I've not been around in forever but got such a horrible feeling upon seeing this that I had to pop in.
*sigh*

Same here -- hoping for a good outcome, but we've all "been there & done that" with cases that turn out badly so many times. SMH.

BornDem!!! So glad to see you here. Glad to see others, too, and hope this case has a quick and happy ending.

(Question, have you guys ever seen a nonfamilial abduction of a 3 year old? I'm sure it happens, but not recalling any cases right now. Tia.)

Lenore Wilson, 3, was taken by an unrelated couple while her mom was in the hospital (Lenore was later dropped off safe at the police station and the couple was never found): http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?318286-ME-Lenore-Lenny-Wilson-3-Augusta-4-Oct-2016

Dartarian Brooks, 3, was taken by a family friend (found safe): http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?327121-CA-Dartanian-Brooks-3-Oakland-14-Jan-2017

4 Year old Rebecca Lewis was taken from Florida last year by family acquaintance Wild West Hogg and driven on a long road trip, ending up getting caught in Tennessee: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?318632-FL-Rebecca-Lewis-4-Lakeland-8-October-2016

Last year in NC a 6 year old was taken by a stranger from her front yard (she was found alive, Sex Offender charged with rape): http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...r-kidnapping-rape-of-6yo-girl-Wilmington-2016

Most non-family abductions I can think of they find the child quickly because there is suspicion or some connection-- the person was seen snooping around or knows the family and acted strange around the child or someone saw the child getting abducted, etc. But there are also cases like Diana Alvares where it is clear a non-family member took the child and the child has not been found :(

Diana's thread: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...ana-Alvares-9-Fort-Myers-29-May-2016-4/page42

I think the cases where family members harm their children just stick in our memories more (and perhaps they are mores common? IDK the stats). For sure, the occupants of the home are always the first suspects and my heart drops whenever I read "live-in boyfriend". It seems sadly predictable. I hope against hope that little Mariah is found safe and unharmed.
