I'm not sure, sorry. What I have seen is that the trial is SUN 1st September 2019. Yes Sunday, now that could well be correct as I read somewhere that there's a shortage of attorneys.

Hard to think that trial would be on Labor Day Weekend and on a Sunday. What was the hearing about on 8/6/19?

Actually the trial was supposed to start on 9/9, not 9/1....

Tuesday, Aug. 6th:
*Pretrial Hearing (@ am session ET) - NC - Mariah Kay Woods (3) (Nov. 27, 2017, Jacksonville; found Dec. 2, 2017) - *Adolphus Earl Kimrey II (32) (BF of Mom) arrested & charged (12/2/17) & indicted (2/13/18) with 1st degree murder, felonious child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury resulting in death & felony concealing a death, obstruction of justice, Felony 2nd degree burglary, felony larceny & Misdemeanor possession of stolen property. Plead not guilty. Held on no bond. DA will seek DP.
The cause of death was chloroform toxicity. Details of death sealed, search warrants & 911 call were unsealed Feb. 24, 2018.
7/18/18 Autopsy released, next pretrial hearing on 4/23/18 & trial date set for Sept. 9, 2019.
4/14/19 Update: Hearing set for 4/18/19. 6/16/19 Update: Next hearing on 8/6 am session. Trial for 9/9/19 has been delayed.

I really don't know!

I'm worried about taking a 13 day vacation to California in Sept. Debating whether to take my laptop - and since I've had computer problems for a week - it was pretty hard to catch up with all my threads! I'm still behind....
So I believe I will be taking my laptop with me. But probably won't be reading - just posting "what hearings" are going on for each day.

Nope -- just checked -- just that damm speeding ticket in District Court. No other items listed in District or Superior Court.
Just this same-old, same-old article which has a July date --

Onslow County is only running dates on their "Calendars/Criminal Calendars" through
Monday, 08/12/2019.

That list details defendant, courtroom, session, etc., etc. I looked, and of course his name isn't listed for Superior Court. I guess Onslow County just doesn't put many dates out there.

So we wait.

I just don't see anything happening in a county courthouse on a Sunday. They have to have a fair number of staff in the court house for security in a lot of locations, even rest rooms, etc., guards at the entrances checking for weapons, computers, hand-held cameras, recording equipment, phones, etc., maintenance, court reporters, bailiffs, deputies for the jury, a couple of deputies to accompany the suspect, a trial evidence clerk, ADA staff, defense staff, etc.) -- just too much for one trial, and worse if more than one. But I don't know their habits in Onslow County, but it's certainly not done here in Wake County, NC, and Wake is very populated compared to Onslow County, NC. But who knoze?

Thank you for explaining that to me. Yes, that's where I saw it but now I'm thinking the page isn't the actual The Court House, it's just some person running the page.

I just checked Onslow County Courts docket, and still nothing shows for Kimrey except his speeding ticket.

yep, i am also wondering the same. i dont normally lay blame on the mom, but there are too many of these type of cases where the mother is so co-dependent in having a relationship that she is willing to put her own children in danger instead of protect them.

I do recall reading that while no charges were brought against Kristi, that could very well change as the case moves forward.

Does anyone know if the other two boys were given back to their father yet?

It makes me sick. Poor Mariah needs justice. I don't know anything about her brothers, I hope they are where they will safe,and protected. But we all know how CPS,and the courts fail children time,and again so I can't hold my breath on that.

I haven't seen any mention anywhere. I do hope they did go to dad. It might be that they have to wait for case to be over before he gets custody of them. They would sure have a safer and loving home with him.
