Hi, Gangeroos!
Just checked the Onslow Co. docket for Kimrey, and nothing, nil, nada. SMH.

Saw this on MSM -- Let's hope this is the Real Deal!
Please remember that only trial dates coming up within the next couple of weeks are not shown on the dockets that the public can view. And as we know, every county varies on what is posted when on those dockets.
So we wait.
Crossing my fingers...

Trial date set for man accused of murdering girlfriend's toddler daughter
by Lucy Nelson and Annette Weston
Tuesday, April 20th 2021
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — The suspect in the murder of an eastern North Carolina toddler will go on trial on November 8.
Adolphus Earl Kimrey was in Onslow Superior Court this afternoon, and after it was pushed back twice by coronavirus, the judge set a fall trial date.
"We had 12 months of no court trials," said District Attorney Ernie Lee, "So, everything's been delayed in the court system, at least in my district, and so, I'm grateful that at least we have a trial date."

@borndem - any updates yet?

Paldies mans draugs! :)

Not a thing on the docket, but November is months away, and NC court dockets usually show only events scheduled for the next two weeks or so.
I did check MSM for any news articles, and saw nothing later than April, 2021. <sigh>
Tāpēc mēs gaidām... :(

I feel like this case is a perfect example of why I don't often closely follow cases after arrests have been made. I'm too impatient.
2017! We're coming up on nearly 4 years now since this happened.

Well - COVID didn't help any of the hearings & trials... unfortunately.

Case against man accused of killing Mariah Woods delayed again

August 11, 2021

ACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - There’s another delay in a high-profile murder trial in Eastern North Carolina.

A judge this morning okayed a motion to have the trial for Earl Kimrey delayed until March of next year.
[.....]
The trial was set to begin on November 8th and has been delayed multiple times due to the pandemic.

Kimrey’s lawyer, Wally Paramore, said he is involved in a death penalty trial in Duplin County that is set to begin later this month and it could last until October. Paramore also said COVID-19 restrictions, including face-to-face visits inside the Onslow County jail, have impacted their preparation.

Judge Imelda Pate set the trial for March 21st in Onslow County and gave attorneys until February 14th to file any pre-trial motions in the case.

Wow, can't say I'm surprised. I'm sure they can get him for disposal but I'm at a loss as to how on earth they are going to prove that it was he who gave the fatal dose of chloroform. It is most likely a 'he said, she said'. I really wish that both he and the mother had been charged together because I believe that it was both of them who were involved with her death and disposal. I'm with you on every word you've said. I was shocked way back when, when Kimrey was arrested and charged and the mother had no charges against her.
JMO They were both involved.
