We’ve reached out to DA Ernie Lee with emails and phone calls and have not heard back. The trial has definitely been pushed back but nobody is saying why. When we hear back from him, we’ll have a story on our website and on TV.

IANAL but if I were one I would work on a plea deal. Give someone else up,and confess everything you did,for life without parole instead of the DP. I honestly don't believe he did this all alone. Do it for Mariah if it's the last decent you do Earl. MOO.

I don't think he did this alone either. There is a witness who saw him load something into the van in the middle of the night and someone had to tip/and/or told LE where the body was disposed of. I don't think the State has enough evidence to prove that he murdered her. If they are depending upon a he said/she said, the jury will have plenty of doubt. JMO

I’m in NC and can’t find Kimrey in the NC Court system either. There’s been nothing in the news. The last trial date was set for March of this year, which obviously didn’t happen, but nothing has been updated since then.

Superior Court #18CRS050503 & -504 / Onslow County #17IF711074

Probably the Superior court one is the correct. I can't access the court site - I had @borndem or @altojack look them up for me...

I can’t find anything on Kimrey in the NC court system. I’m going to ask my nephew, who has access to case records, if he can find out what’s going on with this case. I’ll post as soon as I hear anything.

It’s weird! I spoke to my nephew this morning. He hasn’t had an opportunity to look into this yet. I’ll be sure to post if/when he does.

Sorry @Niner and everyone else. Wrong case! That date is for Micheal Cummins, well one of his murder trials. Sorry. I feel so embarrassed now.
