The edited out the quotes from the neighbor. Interesting.

Oh, definitely. I absolutely believe he could have a temper like that, sans drugs. But I do think his temper increases the likelihood of substance abuse issues. Either to self medicate, or cause poor impulse control. I don't have any evidence, just speculation. Some folks have poor impulse control even without drugs. I do wonder if there was a good tip leading them back to that area of water. Could somebody have driven by and saw a/their vehicle parked there in the dark of night?

"You read the stories, you watch the movies but you don't ever think it's going to hit home", said Mariah's great aunt Sue Rogers. "It seems so unreal to believe this. She was a wonderful blue-eyed, sandy brown-haired, loving, caring child."
One identifiable feature about Mariah family members said might help people locate her is her limp.
"She did have a limp", said Watkins. "Her and her brother both had a disorder where they limped. They both wore braces. Mariah did not wear them at all times, and she could walk without them, but she did have a very distinct limp. She would walk four or five steps and then fall."

In this article Kristy's family speaks only of Mariah in the past tense. No mention of seeing her on Thanksgiving. This is also the first time that her brother has been mentioned having a "disorder."
If Mariah could only walk a few steps and then fall-she couldn't have walked very far. IMO ...
you know that is the one thing the sheriff keeps asking the public for, proof Mariah was seen alive and well on that Sunday. Must be important or he would not continue to repeat this request
Maybe for her safety???
interesting sar aspect, for reference:
"as of 11:00 a.m., our reporters said that officials capped the search party at 600 people, broken into 60 teams of ten people with one law enforcement team leader per group."
day 5: At least 600 people show up to volunteer in search party for mariah woods

Oh dear! So, we have a violent unemployed drug user living with these children. What was this mother thinking?
I don't think they believe that she walked to the water.
I think they are searching the closest places that a perp might try and dispose of a body in the middle of the night...:sigh:....
Oh, if I hear yelling, I will pay attention because someone could be hurt. But I'm famous for walking with my head down and not seeing people who pass by. But even someone like me will occasionally accidentally see something. I think I am more alert if I am aware that there's a single woman or a child next door, but also if I know a family has had trouble before. I do not want to be one of those people whose neighbor dies and isn't found for a week.BBM
I *am* a nosy neighbor. I don't just watch neighbors' houses but if I hear something, I'm on it. Especially an argument. When my neighbor's daughter was a teen, hearing the arguments prompted me to call my mom and apologize for when I was that age!
great team work!!! I am so glad to hear everyone pulling together to find her!! We will find her!!!
And if that is accurate, how were they generating income? Mom has been referred to as a stay at home mom.
