Found Deceased NC - Mariah Woods, 3, Onslow County, 27 Nov 2017 #4 *Arrest*

IMO.. I have been lurking since Monday, waiting on it to play out like we all knew it would.
1. I don't think the dressers had anything to do with Mariah. I believe they were taken from the abandoned house by the POI, I am not calling him by name. The authorities are using that to place him there.
2. I believe Mariah was gone long before that first 911 call, possibly before Thanksgiving but after her birthday.
3. Because of that, there are others who know and probably contributed.
4. The father had nothing to do with the disappearance and is sincere. Unfortunately once again our court system has let another child down. In this case, three children, the brothers will have to live with this hanging over them.

I agree with 2 & 4. Unfortunately #2 means if she was placed in water, it might be difficult to find her at this point.

I disagree about before Thanksgiving, they asked for video of Sunday and Monday. Not before that.

Doesn't the temp need to be quite high as in a crematorium, for bones to be totally destroyed?

Even 1400 to 1800 will still leave fragments (crematorium temp).

All speculation here, but I believe it's entirely possible Mariahs death was accidental & Kinsey panicked.

Maybe Mariah woke up as he was leaving the family residence & he took her with him. He may have assumed she'd fall back to sleep in the vehicle. He could have driven around for a while, then once she was asleep he goes & commits break in @ High Hill residence..

One of the dressers could've fallen on the baby? Maybe she had woken up while he was inside & got out of the vehicle, or even climbed into the back & Kimrey when loaded the dresser it crushed her...

All horrible scenarios, but worth noting that tragic accidents do happen.

It is just hard to imagine taking a 3 yr old along, if you are planning to burglarize a residence. What could go wrong?

What I am stuck on is the phrase “...knowing that Mariah Wood died from unnatural causes.”

That could be based on probable cause but I would think if it was it would be worded differently. So how does LE know AEK knows she died from unnatural causes. I think they have everything but her at this point. And perhaps additional injury to her that only finding her could determine. I know they want to be bring all applicable charges. Please please please let her be found soon.

Since the case was recently classified as a homicide in today’s press conference, my guess is “died of unnatural causes” means murder. Maybe the have evidence of possible poisoning?

Since the FBI asked for anyone with game cam video to share it with them, I doubt if it would be somewhere where he could drive to. I also doubt he would carry dressers there.

When he got back to the house, Mariah was making too much noise for him, or perhaps he sexually assaulted her in a drug induced delirium and strangled her. Maybe he has been assaulting her for a while.

It doesn't make sense because they made it up. There is more to the story. We don't have the true timeline. IMO

I have never heard of ANYONE breaking into a home and stealing 1 dresser let alone 2. For drugs or anything. Seems so random. So odd.....jmo

My BFF at the law office where I worked for many years had a wonderful son who turned at one time to heroin. I was SO naive. She told me one day that he had stolen a couple of pieces of her good silver and went to a pawn shop to get enough money for his fix. Things got so bad that she hid her purse in the clothes dryer. Never would she have thought this beautiful boy would ever do this. It's hard to fathom the lengths addicts will go to in order to get money for a fix. My granddaughter is a NICU R.N. and she sees many babies born drug addicted. I know the addict suffers, but why do the children have to? There are just too many children neglected and abused because of their parents addiction.

Our house was burglarized by a woman with her two year old.

My daughter lived next door and noticed a strange car in the driveway and took the license plate. I will skip the rest except to say that she was telling a group of parents to watch out for the woman as she had burgled our home.

A parent in the group said how the woman had come to her house before our house. She probably assumed the house was empty, but when the person happened to be home, the burglar said her child had needed to use the bathroom. That is why she drove to the house she claimed,

Sadly, a couple of years later, the burglar died. The only thing stated in the obit was that she died. Not one other thing, Nobody cared. She died of some kind of drug issue at age 20something.

A little bit of "what if" because "reality" is about to hang you. I guess anything's possible. But, anyone in their right mind would be cooperating and telling LE where she is (if it REALLY and TRULY was an accident), if his neck is already in the noose, IMHO.

bbm - I think it was described as an abandoned home.

Maybe he took the dressers to temporarily conceal Mariah's body. In case he gets pulled over when transporting her.

I can't think much less of this guy and if he had an ounce of decency he would tell where that baby girl is. I hope the image of what happened and the conditions she's most likely in haunts him. I wonder when he lawyered up and if there was a time that he was talking to authorities. Something has led them to specific areas. I don't have much hope in him coming clean on where he put her, the longer this goes on the more it works to his benefit. Makes me sick.
