I am so very sorry to read this but sadly not surprised. God bless Marlo & his family. RIP

It is just not fair. This man was only trying to make a living for his family and these losers choose to rob and kill him for what he earned because they are too lazy to do anything themselves. I feel horrible for his family.

A horribly sad outcome for a hard working family man. I never met his family but we have friends in common. I certainly can't imagine what they are going thru.

God, that smug look on his face. If I could reach through this phone and smack him I certainly would. I hope they enjoyed their joy ride because they won't be going anywhere for a long time.

Friends and family of Medina-Chevez are remembering him as a great husband, loving father and man of faith.

“He was a religious man so he would do a lot of volunteer work, Bible classes, talking about his God to other people as well,” friend Louis Maigon said.
Medina-Chevez was spontaneous and fun, Maigon said.
“He was very loved in the community and he always liked to travel, and some days after service, he would tell his wife Elsa, ‘Let’s go somewhere,’ and Elsa would say, ‘Where do we go?’ And he would say, ‘Who cares? Let’s just go and get lost and just find something new to do,'” Maigon said.

The family is in the process of making funeral arrangements, and a memorial service for friends and family only has been scheduled for Monday at 3 pm.

So, these mutts had a credit card in order to get an Uber and didn't understand that Uber drivers do not handle money transactions like taxi cab drivers do. They beat him to death for a joy ride? They do not deserve to live another minute.

Man pleads guilty to second-degree murder in Uber driver's death
Family and friends of murdered Uber driver Marlo Medina Chevez went to court as the second defendant charged with killing Chevez went before a judge and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Thursday.
On July 19, Adams went to court, turned down a plea offer and entered a not guilty plea - much to the disappointment of Chevez' family who packed the courtroom.

During Stevens' arraignment on Thursday, prosecutors said Adams tried to rob Chevez, but there was a struggle and Adams cut the victim's throat with a knife.

If Adams took the plea deal, he could have faced up to 37 years in prison.
On Thursday, the family heard what they wanted - a guilty plea for second-degree murder. Stevens decided to accept a plea offer.

Stevens faces 240-300 months behind bars for the murder charge and 60-84 months for the robbery charge.
