This makes me so sad . My hope is that his family may be able to find it in them to allow his brain to be donated to a concussion research study.

He was found by a hiker, died by apparent suicide.

Family and friends of the missing Charlotte teen who was found dead this past week gathered for a vigil Sunday night.

Providence Day student Nathan Kocmond was remembered by loved ones at Christ Church. Kocmond's body was found in a forest in Montgomery County Friday night.

Police do not suspect foul play factoring into his death.

So very sad, he had his whole life ahead of him. Yet another reminder what serious conditions concussions and depression are.

I am so sorry for Nathan's family and friends. Such a tragic loss.

I grew up just blocks from Christ Church in Charlotte. My friend group lost 3 friends in a house fire when we were all 18-19 years old; we went to three funerals in one day. I feel for the tremendous loss the family, friends and school community have suffered with the loss of Nathan. The acute pain recedes with time, but the loss is always there.
