More info in this. Apparently he did try to commit suicide. Also a domestic call was place in the spring and police responded. "Investigators say the wife and Fuller’s brother called 911 to report a disturbance. That’s when she left the home, not thinking Fuller would harm the boys. " So was Fuller brother in the home too?

Shawn Fuller, the father of 2 boys — Uriah and Josiah — who were shot, died in the hospital last week. Investigators had planned to charged Fuller in the murder of his sons...

The warrants say that Bianca Fuller said that Shawn was demanding to know where his gun was, and that she refused to tell him. After arguing for some time, Shawn Fuller reportedly punched Bianca Fuller, put a pillow over her head, then put a sheet around her neck and began to choke her, the warrants say.

Bianca Fuller then told Shawn where the gun was located, and she left out of the back door of the mobile home, according to warrants obtained by WBTV.
