FORT BRAGG — Army officials are asking the public to be on the lookout for a soldier who was reported missing early Wednesday morning.
Pfc. Kirsten Parness, 24, was last seen at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday on Fort Bragg wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and cowboy boots, officials said.
Parness is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair and a half-sleeve tattoo on her right forearm.
"We're hoping the public will be able to help, and that we'll be able to find her soon," said Lt. Col. Michael Burns, a spokesman for the 82nd Airborne Division.
Parness is part of the division's 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade.
